you obviously haven't gone to tamil nadu .

are you saying that the problem you talk about exists in sangli , kolhapur , solapur , parbhani , beed , latur , ratnagiri , nagpur , akola , yavatmal ,etc ??

in reality the problem exists in mumbai and a few other urban areas thats all .

unlike tamil nadu where hindi hate is even in the villages , there is no anti north feeling in smaller towns and villages .

but mumbai has such a hold on the cultural imagination of the country that the media focuses on mumbai to the exclusion of everything else---as if mumbai is maharashtra .

People in N Indian states are generally nice and friendly but safety and civic sense is less and not safe for women and girls.

So how many 'Hindians' have been attacked, roughed up in Tamil Nadu ? Going by the statistic, MH is more more unwelcoming to Hindians than TN :)
