Written for Xinhua by Javed Dar, right? The author sounds to me a paikistani and may have done this deliberately.

haha , to be frank I hardly read any Xinhua before. But if that 'militant' really bothers u, I'd recommend sending that writer to India to learn 'true English' for 1 year!

Chinese are making a fool of themselves. This is not the way an emerging superpower behaves, but can't help, you cannot change your neighbours.

just a error, may be bad or non existent proof reading really no reason to insult the Chinese people.

The bigger error that all the international media commits is that they have a limited view of Kashmir, they keep on forgetting that its the state of Jammu and Kashmir, which includes more districts than Kashmir, a point earned by the Pakistani and separatist propaganda machines.

What people constantly miss is the mention of Indian Controlled Kashmir in PRC news media, while no such reference is made to the land Pakistan got in the great land grabbing race between the two nations, China also declines to accept people from J&K and Arunachal on Indian Visas.

What this shows is that PRC is firmly backing Pakistan diplomatically in its efforts in the region, which is a part of the unavoidable strategic situation of the coming decade.

However one should not insult the Chinese people, that is wrong.

I don't think this is an error or lack of proof reading but a deliberate push to show India badly. How can one write Militant instead of Police. This cannot be an error, for sure.

China is in nothing but a nation full of champions of Genocide, oppression and evil minded forces. What Chines members living in different parts of the world trying hard to make china look more congenial with rest of the world makes no difference and sense to the regime in power and its stooges (mouth piece media). For India it is like a handicap match when we are open to criticism and we are self hell bent to expose our own demerits on world fora but the same is not the case with China. They are enjoying that Indian Handy captivity/ freedom to nitpick only negative things about India which is coming out from our own sources.

As far as this particular thread is concerned any nationalist Indian would never have a second thought to think Chinese are immune to insult. Who ever pretend here to be Chinese do not represent the real china. What kind of justification these random, self proclaimed Chinese representatives may give here will be ineffectual at all to vent off the pressure. Being an Indian one may expect that your words of wisdom may give you a stage to represent your self rational but at the end of the day water will flow downhills. This is the real essence of such degrading news coming out of china. If one is still reluctant to accept this assertion then one must ask these Chinese members if they have ever used the same wisdom to deescalate tension between both nations. The trend now is very clear and upfront there is a indiscriminate anti India wave. The same was evident when Indian Olympic team was not welcomed in china but all Chinese were jumping on their a$$ when Pakistani team entered in arena.

The lines were drawn way back, we should never buy contemporary symbiosis between both nation as a reference(deception) to any existing cosy friendship.

u may say Chinese don't have a good command of English on average, fair enough, it's a foreign language anyway. militant military - it may be mixed up in many cases without proofreading. and in fact militant doesn't have any derogatory meaning

In 'American Heritage Dict.' it's explained -
    n.
A fighting, warring, or aggressive person or party.

Why such a fuss? It's a disgrace for both.

If you don;t know english, then you don't have business running an English newspaper and website.

And here is the complete meaning of Militant : combative and aggressive in support of a political or social cause, and typically favoring extreme, violent, or confrontational methods

Chinese regime is a communist one. Communist primary weapon against its enemies is propaganda. They will say all the lies possible to convince its people.

Its no longer communist. It is fascist, oligarchic and capitalist regime. Fascist & oligarchic to maintain the grip over the people through propaganda and abuse of human rights. It is capitalistic to make money so as to propagate its fascist and oligarchic culture at the top.

Its very sad that even though i reported it a clear slur on the Chinese people remains on this thread, remember that there are actual Indian citizens of Chinese decent living in India.
