It is smart to concentrate on the greater threat and the most important objective. Taiwan is far more important to China and American and Japanese interference over Taiwan is a real threat. India is not a real threat so there are also no frontline resources allotted to India.

It is stupid of India to complain about China who doesn't see India as a threat and doesn't waste frontline resources on the Indian border.
How does China sees India? How does China wants to be seen by India? You know Indians too don't see China as a threat, we are some of the most gullible people in the world, if anyone says something nice about us (no matter what your actual intent), Indians in general blindly believe them. We used to chant "Hindi-Chini bhai bhai" which means Chinese and Indians are brothers until about 1962 and then we got a war.

Taiwan is highly advance. It is more famous for electronics because that is what makes it wealthy but it doesn't mean it can't do other things. Look at the F-CK-1 which first flew in 1989.

ALL advance nations can do many things.

Just check the number of frontline systems China puts up against Taiwan versus what China array against India. There are no major bases for aircraft or even land forces on the Indian border.

Against Indian border, China cannot put planes as they lack high altitude airfield and pilot train for it where as Indian is practiced it since the 80. Plus Chinese engine will have a even shorter life, less then 100 hrs in such conditions.

China's world is almost entirely focused on its own neighborhood in the Far East and the US (because of American dominance in East Asia.)

All of its greatest rivals and influences are there. When China and Japan or China and Korea plays a soccer game, people are riled up. This would never happen for a game with India. Korean, Taiwanese and Japanese pop culture influence Chinese trends. Almost no Indian influence anywhere in China. China's rivals are also its greatest inspirations. They force China to advance.

Japan, Korea and Taiwan are poweful states that China competes against. It also must compete against the US who backs the three great rivals listed above. To the Chinese this is existential because not only are your neighbors extremely formidable but it has thousands of American troops in bases all it.

In the face of such great nations and peoples, China is forced to advance. Because they are all in the East, India is really an afterthought to China.

But on the web, Chinese people do find it interesting that Indians hate us so much

Let's not get overconfident incorrectly ...

Planes are not all they have , .... they have long range artillery and missile bases in tibet also in Gilgit-B

One of the best counters to that is for us to get in with the Taiwanese, Viets and Mongolians whom i beliieve will be overjoyed as our defense products are pretty ok compared to prcchina and often even better snf lower priced !

We should gradually get to where we have missile bases in all three nations ....Viet missile bases will give close proximity to the commercial areas of prc and mongolia will give close proximity to the north-eastern corner of china which houses defense and political areas . ...Taiwan is an extra and we can use naval blockage of chinese ports and defence shipping ....so they cant even move out

This is the sure way to keep them non-violent otherwise they will start getting arrogant and think they are too wonderful.

Its more to do with a common Chinese and his mentality due to wanna be yank attitude, Your system encourage those bad habits of western world both socially and economically so does militarily ..

Rather Japanese or Koreans as we knew, from the very fact we conduct regular exchange of officials with regards to war-studies, The difference is here is experience which Japanese and Koreans have compare to Chinese with respect to rest of the world..

Besides, Taiwanese military official made various visits at new Delhi with respect to nuclear weapons this was highlighted during 2010 visits, Taiwan seeks systems which they cannot get from west at any cost, So they visit east time to time ..

You have plenty to speak about mostly outside of the topic, That is not the way of a debate unless you are not confident and insecure ..

Even suggesting they buy from India would be considered an insult to a Taiwanese, Korean or Japanese because they see dark skinned people as inferiors.

I have no idea what psychological mumble jumble you are talking about.

But bottom line is this (and it is very simple):

Taiwan is a powerful state populated by a formidable race. Nearly all of China's resources are arrayed against it and the other US backed East Asian powerhouses. China would do everything to avoid war with Taiwan.

I don't think Indians understand how China views its East Asian neighbors. We know they are powerful. We know this instinctively because we are of the same race. There is respect along with rivalry (East Asians visit each other in huge numbers.)

I don't think Indians feel the way about Pakistanis as we do about Taiwanese (and Koreans and Japanese.). There is respect and inspiration along with competition and rivalry.

Not "we" but foolish Nehru. We don't treat Chinese as our equal. Indians don't trust the cunning Chinese and We know how to tame the Dragon (mainland Chinese) and successfully demonstrated in the past (minus the proud Tibetan Buddhist people )

Their time will come again until then let the Chinese live under the shadow to Agni 5, Indo - Viet - US alliance, Indian Economic rise and always fear us like Pakis

India's world is almost entirely focused on its own neighborhood in the South Asia and the US (because of American dominance in South Asia.)

All of its greatest rivals and influences are there. When India and Pakistan/Bangladesh/Srilanka or India and UK/Australia etc plays a cricket game, people are riled up. This would never happen for a game with China. India, Pak, Bangladesh, Sri lanka etc share mostly the same culture and influence each other. Almost no Chinese influence anywhere in India but there is enough Japanese/Koreans activity and influence. India's rivals are also its greatest inspirations.
Fixed the above for you.

Japan, Korea and Taiwan are poweful states that China competes against. It also must compete against the US who backs the three great rivals listed above. To the Commie Chinese this is existential because not only are your neighbors extremely formidable but it has thousands of American troops in bases all it.
Expected of Commies to feel threatened by freedom.

But on the web, Chinese people do find it interesting that Indians hate us so much
:biggrin2:
So the Chinks think Indians hate Chinks, You ever met and talked to them, most Indians know little/nothing about Chinese. What makes you think Indians hate or love chinks? A few Indians bashing a few Chinks here on DFI?Maybe your chocalate faced Indian boyfriend told you so.

I don't think Indians feel the way about Pakistanis as we do about Taiwanese (and Koreans and Japanese.). There is respect and inspiration along with competition and rivalry.
.
Funny you call India an afterthought and yet feel like you know how Indians or Pakistani feel about each other. You know how many singer, actors, artists, sports person, commoners etc walk back and forth and are eminent stars across the artificial boundary between the two nations? Are you aware there happened to be no boundary between not so long ago? You are just a stereotype Chinese who thinks she/he knows everything and dreaming of dominating world.

Your Government respect them not because they want you to think they are of your kind, It because they left a scar in your racial memories so deep that it can`t be forget ..

Some history will refresh some memories ..

Battle of Guningtou or Battle of Kuningtou
October, 1949

The People’s Liberation Army secured control of mainland China by the end of 1949. Its Nationalist opponents in the Kuomintang, reeling from defeat after defeat, retreated to various islands on the coast, most notably Taiwan and Hainan. At that time, the PLA disposed of only modest air and sea assets, but it was determined to seize the islands while the Nationalists were in retreat and disarray.

Following the establishment of the People's Republic of China on October 1, 1949, the government of the Republic of China under Chiang Kai-shek began withdrawing its forces from mainland China to Taiwan. However, ROC garrisons remained stationed on the islands of Kinmen and Matsu, located off the coast in Fujian Province. Commanders of the PRC People's Liberation Army (PLA) believed that Kinmen and Matsu had to be taken before a final assault on Taiwan. The PLA planned to attack Kinmen by launching a first attack with 9,000 troops to establish a beachhead, before landing a second force of roughly 10,000 on Greater Kinmen Island, expecting to take the entire island in three days from an ROC garrison not expected to be larger than two divisions. The Communists had incorrectly estimated that there were only 12,000 Nationalist soldiers on the entire island–a calculation that would contribute to their calamitous defeat. Expecting that a PLA attack was imminent, ROC commanders ordered the immediate construction of fortifications. By October, ROC troops had laid 7,455 land mines, and constructed roughly 200 earthen bunkers on the shores of Kinmen, as well as several anti-amphibious landing beach obstacles. The ROC garrison on Kinmen was also reinforced with more armor, troops and supplies. In the opening hours of October 25, the PLA's armada (consisting of hundreds of wooden fishing boats) set sail for Kinmen. They intended to land near the village of Longkou on the narrowest part of the island. But due to the crudeness of their craft, choppy waters and winds, many of them were scattered and carried past Longkou and northwestwards toward the shore of Guningtou instead.

Around October 25, The advancing PLA forces were met by the ROC 18th Army and US-made M5A1 tanks of ROC 1st Bn, 3rd Tank Regiment. PLA Regiment 244 held high ground at Shuangru Hill (雙乳山), but were beaten back by ROC armor by early morning. Then, the second lucky break for the Nationalists: at dusk the preceding day, the M5A1 Stuart tank #66 under command of Lt. Yang Chan bogged down on a sand dune on Longkou beach during a defensive exercise. The other two Stuarts in his platoon stayed behind in an attempt to tow out the immobilized vehicle. The tankers were still on the beach, enjoying a snack at 3:00 a.m., when the three thousand troops of the 244th PLA infantry regiment swarmed ashore from wooden boats around 4:00 a.m. The stunned tankers opened fire with their three thirty-seven-millimeter cannons and nine machine guns.

The fortuitous presence of Yang Chan’s tank platoon managed to contain the PLA landing at Longkou. While immobilized tank #66 stayed behind to cover its sector of the beach—only firing from the turret because the hull was facing the wrong way!—the other two tanks launched joined a counterattack on Guanyinting Hill. Six more Stuart tanks soon swept down from the First Battalion, followed belatedly by infantry of the 118th Division. The counterattack overran the PLA invader—literally, as Stuart tanks exhausted their ammunition and resorted to charging forward into their massed opponents. Together, the Stuarts and infantry made their way to the beaches, blasting the stranded boats with tank guns, grenades and even infantry flamethrowers.

By the early morning of October 27, the surviving People's Liberation Army forces had exhausted their food and ammunition. 1,300 PLA troops retreated to the beaches north of Guningtou. After a final ROC assault, the remaining PLA troops surrendered to ROC forces at 10:00 on that day. All of the PLA troops who had landed on Kinmen were lost.

Nemoto Hiroshi: Shadow warrior behind the 1949 Battle of Guningtou

The Battle of Guningtou in 1949 is often cited as a glorious chapter in the Kuomintang’s military history. But little do people know that Japanese military officers, who were the Kuomintang troops’s enemy during the Second World War, were instrumental in the Kuomintang’s victory over the Communists in the battle.

One of such Japanese military officers was Lieutenant General Nemoto Hiroshi (pictured). He commanded Japan’s North China Area Army just as World War II was ending.

On August 15, 1945, Japanese Emperor Hirohito gave a recorded radio address to the nation in which he announced the surrender of Japan.

Seeing the Soviet Russian army looting in Manchuria, Nemoto defied the Japanese emperor’s order of surrender and fought with the Russians and their Chinese Communist sidekicks. Although the odds were against him, Nemoto defeated the Soviet army and turned to Chiang Kai-shek, the Allied commander-in-chief of the China Theater. Chiang was very impressed by Nemoto’s victory over the Soviets, and received him in Beijing.

Although Nemoto had to be repatriated to Japan, he was eager to return to Chiang. With the help of friends, he bought a ship and sneaked to Taiwan with a few friends. At the time Chiang and his Kuomintang troops had retreated to Taiwan, but the Civil War with the Chinese Communists was still ongoing.

When Chiang learned that Nemoto had arrived in Taiwan, he sent Nemoto to help Kuomintang General Tang En-po in Fujian, which was the only province not yet fallen to the Communists.

After seeing Fujian, Nemoto said there was no way the Kuomintang could hold onto Fujian because of logistics problems, and he advised that the Kuomintang moved their troops to Kinmen, a group of small islands just off the coast of Fujian.

Nemoto devised a series of strategies to help the Kuomintang troops fight the Communists, including building underground facilities, like the ones the Japanese built in Iwo Jima. Nemoto also correctly predicted where the Chinese Communists would hand on Kinmen.

In the clash, which became known as the Battle of Guningtou, all the Chinese Communist troops landed on Kinmen were effectively lost. The rare victory for the Kuomintang provided a much needed moral boost. The battle also halted the Communists’ advance towards Taiwan.

To thank Nemoto for his help, Chiang Kai-shek gave him one of a pair of precious vases (pictured) that he kept in his office before Nemoto returned to Japan in 1952.

These vases are precious because there are only three pairs. One pair was given to Queen Elizabeth II as a wedding gift and also a celebratory gift to mark China and Britain’s victory in World War II. Another pair was presented to the Japanese Imperial Family, and the third pair was kept in Chiang Kai-shek’s personal collection.

Nemoto’s daughter is scheduled to visit Taiwan in March and donate the vase to the Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall in Taipei.

a lesson to indians in cunningness and understand how much a fool nehru was

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mind_control

In 1956, after reexamining the concept of brainwashing following the Korean War, the U.S. Army published a report entitled Communist Interrogation, Indoctrination, and Exploitation of Prisoners of War which called brainwashing a "popular misconception".[16] The report states "exhaustive research of several government agencies failed to reveal even one conclusively documented case of 'brainwashing' of an American prisoner of war in Korea."[17]

US POWs captured by North Korea were brutalized with starvation, beatings, forced death marches, exposure to extremes of temperature, binding in stress positions, and withholding of medical care, but the abuse had no relation to indoctrination "in which [North Korea was] not particularly interested."[18] In contrast American POWs in the custody of North Korea's Chinese Communist allies did face a concerted interrogation and indoctrination program. However, "systematic, physical torture was not employed in connection with interrogation or indoctrination," the report states.[19]

The "most insidious" and effective Chinese technique according to the US Army Report was a convivial display of false friendship, which persuaded some GIs to make anti-American statements, and in a few isolated cases, refuse repatriation and remain in China:

"[w]hen an American soldier was captured by the Chinese, he was given a vigorous handshake and a pat on the back. The enemy 'introduced' himself as a friend of the 'workers' of America ... in many instances the Chinese did not search the American captives, but frequently offered them American cigarettes. This display of friendship caught most Americans totally off-guard and they never recovered from the initial impression made by the Chinese. ... [A]fter the initial contact with the enemy, some Americans seemed to believe that the enemy was sincere and harmless. They relaxed and permitted themselves to be lulled into a well-disguised trap [of cooperating with] the cunning enemy." [19]

Don't forget to mention rape of Nanking. Nothing pisses of Chinese more and sends chills down their spine. USA Had to bail out their asses or else Chinese would be speaking Japanese now lol. Stupid Roosevelt gave the losers and the weak link on their side a seat in UNSC just to weaken stalins position.

I don't think they'd be speaking Japanese, though.

The Manchu nation (earlier calling themselves jurchens) conquered china at least twice (Jin Dynasty and Qing Dynasty)
During the Qing they ruled China for almost 300 years and forced the Han to wear those pigtails as a sign of Han submission to the Manchu.
Manchu language speakers once numbered in the hundreds of thousands, yet after their stint at ruling China as the Qing dynasty, that language has become functionally extinct with a few thousand speakers and less than a 100 native speakers. It got swallowed by Han culture.

Just like the Muslims or British rule in India would not last for long, just so will neither Japanese nor Manchu or any other rule, in China.

Well I didn't mean it literally. My point was that the entire area which is now Taiwan, koreas, along with the Han dominated liaoning, Heibei provinces including the cities of Shanghai, Hong Kong and Beijing were under Japanese control. And they didn't have plans of stopping there. They would have taken the entire Chinese East Coast if it weren't pressure from the allies in the Pacific. Afterall, Manchuria had more than 150000 Chinese soldiers and yet fell to the significantly smaller Japanese assault numbering ~50k. Having all these areas already the rest of the coast would have been easy. It was a metaphor for Japanese having invaded the Han area completely bro :hail:. Nothing more
