70% of the total surface and ground water used in India every year is for agriculture. 70% of that is used for paddy. i.e., half of all fresh water consumption in our country goes into growing paddy - FACT.

The biggest setback in Agriculture is lack of Water

Paddy is the main food source in India and it thus takes a lot of water. Btw, Do wheat takes the same level of water has paddy?

Could someone explain the "Integration food production" in the Way of saving water points in simple english.
