    Gentlemen/Ladies (if any),

I might be incorrect however, I have noticed this strange thing; common vegetables prices have gone down drastically!

Yesterday I want to subzi mandi to buy some vegetables however, shocked (even pleased as well! :D) when I heard about the prices!

    Potatoes - :inr: 15/Kg

    Onions - :inr: 10/Kg

    Brinjals - :inr: 10/Kg

    Tomatoes - :inr: 10/Kg

    Bitter Gourds - :inr: 15/Kg

Coriander - :inr: 10 for 3 large bunches

    ^^^

Wow! Most of the vegetables were available for around 10, 15 or 20 :inr: per kilogram!

Has anyone noticed this? or is it's just me? BTW, I am in MH.

The fall in prices is due to Reforms or an pre-poll Appeasement tactic?

Not everything is a conspiracy. Winters are boom time for vegetable crops.

I agree however, the onion price drama which was rampant around couple of months before was indeed due to conspiracy. Don't you agree?

I agree to some extent that, in winters we get abundant vegetables however, this is the first time in last 2-3 years I am seeing vegetables sold for such low prices!

That is right the vegetable prices have come down.

There is no doubt that there is also politics is at work, even though winter is boom time for vegetable availability.

Don't worry, all the baniyas and traders at mandis are in BJP's fold today. They will hoard the stocks and create an artificial shortage right before elections to cause heartburn to the UPA. Remember the onion elections of December 1998 when BJP lost in Delhi, Rajasthan and MP (despite a disastrous term by Digvijay Singh) ? That time the traders were in Congress' fold and BJP had to pay the price.

In regards to vegetable prices I am worried about my pocket first :D

Be it BJP or CONparty or AAP, such sort of drama will impact only mango man :tsk: and again, I feel that, we need to be prepared for such situations this time as well.

By end of Feb, One should start buying Onions/Potatoes in bulk and dump them in the their house. :D Never know, when prices will shoot up!
