Ban the phone, ban the satellite flight path over India, ban the air waves, ban the company which made the satellite.....ban ban ban ban....

Come on it is time the authorities grew up. Satellite phone for terrorist activities are not confined to India. We must boost our Intel capabilities, rather than make a fool of ourselves.

I'm pretty sure the Goi has already banned the use of these by private citizens. Didn't some people get arressted for using a certain brand of sat phone in Indian waters?

I don't want a blanket surveillance on people's phone conversations, and the only way to boost our intel capabilities would be to do just that, unlimited surveillance and violation of people's privacy. As long as the conversation is limited within India, it is necessary to respect people's privacy, but when it goes outside the country, there should be wider scope for surveillance, and banning satellite phones seems like a good idea. GoI is not making a fool of itself, not even remotely.
