@Blackwater and @Ray still I cant understand why some Sikhs say they are tortured in India? to get "asylum" quickly? Where is there patriotism then? Is it good for India's image in those countries?

Why Sikhs cant follow how Hindu Indians try to get citizenship of West? Hindu Indians stay many years in West to accept accepting their Nationality generally Why some Sikhs make excuse that they are tortured here? At least Hindu Indians dont spread lies that they are tortured in India like some Sikhs to get citizenship of West quickly.

I am not blaming whole community but no doubt entire Sikh diaspora is for Khalistan or atleast they are indirectly promoting an image abroad that Sikhs are tortured here, is it good? Is it not indirect support to Khalistan?

Khalistanis are Sikhs and they came from Sikh community, so sikh community abroad is not Ganga Jal completely.

I hate and condemn this strategy of some Sikhs to say Sikhs are tortured here in India so that Sikhs can get West's citizenship quickly.:tsk::tsk:

The only strategy in West that would be activity of Christian Missionaries so those Sikhs in West adopt Christianity and Christianity has nothing to with Khalistan.

:india::india:

So Christian Missionary activity in West among Sikhs should be increased and in Punjab they should be expelled.

low class or ravidasiye hindu do claim asylum in west.

who said hindu dont lie to get citizenship of west??? paper marriage, kabooterbaazi, fake student

people like you responsible for 1984

:rolleyes::rolleyes:
That's absurd. All I've implied is that sikhs, especially the ones abroad, are less patriotic than the hindus. This sounds politically incorrect but makes intuitive sense. The religious community with the greatest stake in the integrity of the Indian union are hindus. Minority religious communities, especially when they aggregate in specific geographical regions tend to contain large elements of dissent. This may not be true for every country, but it is true in the Indian context.

This lie is different, do Hindus say they are persecuted in India to get asylum in West? Are Sikh's situation here is really so bad?

I never say Hindus dont tell lies to get Western citizenship, but they dont say they are persecuted in India, like some Sikhs do. Sikh's lies damage India's image meanwhile Hindu's lies fake marriage etc dont harm India's image.

According to Sikh's lies, an image is promoted in West that Sikhs are persecuted in India by Hindus, is it right?

Please re-read my comment I covered all lies of both Hindus and Sikhs.

There are rotten apples in every lot. Heroes and downtrodden scoundrels in every section of the society.
84 has given this second kind a good excuse. They leverage it. This tells about their character and lack of regard for the nation.
However it does not mean that we look at the entire Sikh community with suspicion.
It would be best to encourage Sikhs not to socialize with these pathetic parasites. That will nullify all these designs hatched in the west.
There's a saying "Hathi Chale Bazaar, Kutte Bhonke Hazaar" i.e The Elephant's walk in the market is unhindered, even when a thousand dogs bark at him.

These Sikh groups are dishonest and opportunist bunch, no doubt, but for such groups to even come into existence, we need to see whether our own actions, or inactions, have contributed to it. If the world views our judiciary as incompetent, then we have given them that opportunity by failing to punish the '84 culprits.

It is all about money and wresting political patronage of the diaspora.

CONTROL OF GURDWARAS

Although most of the Gurdwaras in the Punjab are under the control of Shiromani Gurdwara Parbhandak Committee (SGPC), still there are many that are under the control of Mahants and Sants. Outside the Punjab, e. g., in North America, UK, Europe and other countries, none of the Gurdwaras is under the control of SGPC. The Gurdwaras out of the Punjab are mostly controlled by a group of Sikhs of the particular areas under the names of different organizations. Every Gurdwara has its own rules and regulations, and code of conduct to administer the Gurdwara. The Granthis, Raagis, Kathakar, and preachers are appointed or invited of their own choice, who represent Sikhism and celebrate the barsis (anniversaries) of Sants and Mahants according to their own wishes and that of the executive of the Gurdwara.

Violence at Queens Sikh Temple Evokes Memories of India's Troubled Past

e clash between two groups of Sikh worshippers at a gurudwara (a place of worship for Sikhs) in Richmond Hills, Queens, last week, where policemen confiscated several swords and cricket bats, and where several people were injured, was shocking and confounding to many. But there are plenty of past precedents for such heated fights, especially in Canada, where almost to the day a year ago a violent struggle broke out between two factions in a gurudwara in Brampton.

Machetes, knives and swords were used at that fight; several people were seriously injured. The reasons then and now are identical: tensions boiling over control of the management of the gurudwara.

For the Sikh community though, violence in a gurudwara is like a scarlet letter; a shameful, dreadful, scary evocation of the horrors of the past.

It stokes afresh the memories of Operation Blue Star, four days of warfare in June 1984 by the Indian military to root out radical militants hiding at the Sikhs' Mecca of worship, the Golden Temple in Amritsar.

Sikh Temple Violent control OVER MONEY

Sunday's pitched battle at a Sikh temple in Brampton can be traced to a bitter conflict over politics and the control of millions of dollars.

When two warring groups clashed at the Guru Nanak Sikh Centre, turbans flew and blows were exchanged before machetes, hammers and construction knives were brandished. Four people were injured and three were charged with assault. Each side said the other incited the violence.

It was the most extreme example of internal conflict at a Sikh temple in the Toronto area in recent times but it was by no means the only one. Few of the almost two-dozen Sikh temples in the Toronto area have been untouched by controversies, mostly pertaining to different factions vying for control.

Currently there is a power struggle at four temples, including Ontario Khalsa Darbar at Derry and Dixie Rds. in Mississauga, one of the largest temples in Canada.

@Ray Sir, I was pointing at this tendency amongst Indians to deflect any criticism by resorting to finger-pointing. We keep criticizing these Sikh groups, who may not be Saints, but we are doing nothing, or at best giving lip service, when it comes to delivering justice.

No not human rights. They are the defector Vibheeshans. And that is their value.
The west uses them to malign and pressurize India as and when needed.
There are more vibheeshans fron Iran,Pakistan,Syria,Afghanistan ,Lebanon ,Iraq, srilanka, congo, niger. Than India

Hindus are in majority in India . If u see pakistani Hindu story, is same for torture, minorities always suffer.

but if u compare the plight of hindus in pakistan and 1984.

in 1984 ,sikh woman not only raped but their men were burnt alive, children burnt alive ,house looted

where as in pakistan ,hindu women are forcefully married or converted

but still yo got mad on hindus conditions in pakistan but not so in 1984

It is human rights. And to maintained their status as developed nations, these western countries has to give asylum to anywhere between 5000 to 20'000 people around the world. For example Germany has quota of 20'000 where as Holland has 10'000 per person per year to give asylum.

Most of the refugee seeker are from war torn countries, India May come last, May be seen few cases in Canada.

Delivering justice on the Sikh issue is a mirage and will never come or so it appears.

It has dragged on for so many years with none indicted and instead the alleged guilty making hay as the sun shines.

For instance, if the Sikhs were really serious about it, then MMS or Mantake should have not but the carrot that they were given. Some would say that they were above pettiness and maybe they would be right.

Personal ambition sometimes overtakes community slight and injustice.

Some may also think that it is true that the ground shakes if a banyan tree falls!

We should be thankful that in the Gujarat riots some action has indeed taken place including the indictment and jailing of a Minister.

A refugee from a war torn country and a lying opportunist from a leading developing country .. are cases poles apart. Don't mix the two.

Even 'war torn' has a political dimension to the granting of asylum by western countries
