As the title says this thread is meant to be the one stop shop for all things UP &Bihar ...... the politics are intense and dirty ... With congress pitching itself as the center of gravity for the Anti-BJP pole ...and Opponents coming together tactically... this election will be a high on drama(h/t @Sakal Gharelu Ustad ) , socialism (h/t @Mad Indian ) , misogyny (h/t @Rashna ) and rowdyness (@rock127 ).

I don't think BJP has any chance. All others have joined hands in an unholy matrimony . and of course I have complete faith in Hindus to vote like retards

Hohohoh... I was expecting this answer from you..... anyway I was going through some links in the sanskrit thread.... One of the few times in my life I have actually felt sad. :( .... The way hindus are not just throwing away their own heritage, they are not even letting other hindus study. The environment is so stifling. Full of sloth and mediocrity.

What else do you want me to say? I am a realist . if some one from Bihar explain the ground situation it will be good. But on the surface, it looks like crap for BJP and hindus

I am just sick of the mediocrity.... the sloth and slave mentality.... I understand now why p0rkis say as per allahs will...lol the most moronic way to rationalize their untermensch existence. Sadly I have a rational and functioning logic based mind.

Bihar is bleak for BJP, unless something unexpected happens, BJP is about to loose the elections.

This CONVICTED CRIMINAL $#@@$%%**&^ Lallu was jailed for 5 years so how the $##@$^^&& he got out and running in elections?

Now it's up to Biharis... the term "Bihari" or "Bihari" was turned into a abuse by this turd called Lallu. Bihar was a great place in ancient India but turned into backwardness by this jahil Lallu.

If Biharis elect these turds again then it's their own fault.People often get the leader they deserve :dude:

This so called Alliance is a crap and perfect example of opportunism.

i have a different take on this unholy alliance.
it may rout the sickular alliance completely like we saw in delhi with bjp. as it is people were pissed off on nitish due to his breakup opportunism with bjp and whatever support he was having is completely eroded by joining hands with corupt lallu.
on the other hand the stupid yadav votebank of lallu is angry on him as they despise nitish with his preference for obcs and mahadalits.

and people are not stupid to see this "secular" alliance to fool them.

i predict 150 seats for bjp out of 243

Very tough for bjp to win in bihar. Yadavs and muslim will vote for lalu $ Dalit for nitish . Only upper caste is going to vote for bjp and mahadalit for manjhi. All these eqn are of rural areas. But urban may give support to bjp. Hope bjp wins

Laluwa has just 'challenged' BJP to declare their CM-face for Bihar! it reminded me of someone's comment i read sometime back that what BJP lacks in states are strong leaders who (or their image) have a good penetration in the public. seems the same thing here too.

BTW, recently BJP revealed many Muslims taking their membership via SMS (real or not dont know), that could instill atleast some confidence....though i know am hoping far beyond the reality, but still.....Hindus toh as it is are 'lute-pite baklol', but most Muslims are still not realising how they have been and are being taken for a grand ride, and what they're missing on. quoting another comment - "if Muslims would have had a leader like Modi, they would've been his fundamentalist supporters."

BTW, this video of SS tells somewhat a bit about the retarted voting mentality of the Hindus that @Mad Indian wrote of, and suggests the one solution. interesting video ("one against all put together and handling well"):

Is a subtle message being sent to biharis that bjp can't protect you and hence no point in voting for it??

BTW, i just watched this video in its entirety tonight; was long overdue. can't/shouldn't this gentleman be projected as the CM of Bihar by the BJP?!

for those who haven't yet watched it, please do watch. its my earnest request. its a must, Must, MUST watch! every word of it. somedays back there had been a heated exchange of very toxic words here regarding Biharis v/s Delhiites. this speech provides an insight on the core issue(s)/reason(s) uderlying that problem too, watching which one will be forced to ponder and may be retrospect the dangerous (for a Nation-State) predispositions that we may be carrying. do watch it, please. if i had my way, i would've made it compulsory for this speech to be broadcast at every home and made every family sit and watch it, esp. baba's family and the families of all the proprietors of the alleged secular forces.

should BJP deftly announce him its CM-candidate from Bihar, it could be the 'onnne TIGHT slappp!' that Laluwa is so much asking for by jumping up & down asking BJP to declare its BJP CM-candidate by tomorrow!

P.S. - dear Bhadralok from South India who are not well-versed in Hindi, sorry, but this video is in Hindi, that too full of idioms and adages from the Hindi heartland and with some Bihari accent/dialect. may be we could translate every line spoken by him for you (lol. that's a gargantuan task. better watch it with someone who knows Hindi :D)? will take time though. please bear. :)

Why did Lalu Yadav surrender to Nitish Kumar?

Bihar has been doing well under the leadership of Nitish Kumar, despite the bitter break-up with BJP, his charisma has not yet diminished and a significant majority (my guess >70%), even those in the opposition camp admit that Nitish Kumar has managed to deliver.

Crime rate is low, law & order has improved, Bihar is experiencing impressive growth. Lesser and lesser number of people are migrating to other states for employment now, in fact Bihar has been witnessing a reverse migration. Industries are coming up. Nobody in Bihar is too much worried about Lalu as long as Nitish Kumar runs the show.

For BJP situation in Bihar is not very different from what it faced in Delhi: Eak anaar (CM Chair) Sau Bimaar (Many candidates).

On the positive note, Bihar BJP has got strong local leadership. For BJP winning in Bihar will be tough because it will have to face a unified opposition, but it is not impossible. BJP will have to be extremely careful in ticket distribution and in forming alliances.

BJP has good organisation strength in Bihar, going to be very interesting. The Sangh also has big presence. All the so called experts are adding the individual vote tally of the parties who have come together in this unholy alliance - Communist, Congress, Nitish and Lalu and then arriving to the conclusion that BjP will likely lose.

In elections on the ground that is not how things work. It's not that simple. When Multiple parties come togeather they concede lot of space for the opposition. Also they might disenfranchise voters who would be disillusioned with the alliance for eg Nitish supporters having a hard time accepting alliance with Lalu.

A lot will depend on how the govt tackles the monsoon crisis looming and if BJP can ensure the fringe elements keep their mouth shut till Bihar polls. With huge minority population and unprecedented reaching out to minorities in Bihar and Bengal by Bihar and chipping away at the yadav vote bank BJP could surprise many people.

Having said that, Nitish and co are the favorites.

If have actually listened to the speech twice, the man makes a number of pertinent points, congress ko nanga kar diya.

I second the shout. Think he will make a great CM and also take on Lalu Nitish combined.
