Unreliable Indian media blames Manzar Imam for Hyderabad blast
    [IMG]

One can surely evaluate the credibility of Indian media as it used an image of slain Manzar Imam, an MPA and a member of Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) as the mastermind behind the India’s Hyderabad blast.

Imam who was shot dead in Karachi on January 17 this year, was ‘mistakenly’ termed as the organiser of the entire plan behind the recent blast in India showing the authenticity of India media and it’s envy with Pakistan.

The news channel was referring to a member of the Indian Mujahideen, but used late Manzar Imam’s image as its not new for them to shift all of their blames on to Pakistan.

Imam, a member of the Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM), was killed in a targeted attack on January 17 and later Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan have claimed responsibility for the murder.

On Feb 21, At least 18 people were killed and over 50 were wounded during the blasts in the crowded Dilsukhnagar area of Hyderabad.

Hybd blasts: Indian media apologises for blaming Manzar Imam
Hybd blasts: Indian media apologises for blaming Manzar Imam | AAJ News

KARACHI: Owing to the demand of Interior Minister RehmanMalik, India media apologises to the autohrites for blaming MQM’s slain MPA Manzar Imam, for crafting the recent blasts in Hyderabad Deccan.

The minister earlier demanded the Indian authorities to formally apologise over the issue .

I demand from India a formal apology. It has brought ill- repute to Pakistan. Provide us the proof for making such serious allegations,” he said while talking to media after a consultative meeting of Security and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP).

As its not new for India to shift all of their blames on to Pakistan but this time Indian media has made a blunder as it was referring to a member of the Indian Mujahideen, but used late Manzar Imam’s image.

In his statement Malik urged India to verify before making any comments.

India TV apologises for carrying Manzar Imam’s picture

    Islamabad

Interior Minister Rehman Malik has received an apology from India TV for telecasting the photograph of the slain MQM MPA Syed Manzar Imam, mistaking him for an alleged Indian Mujahideen member believed to be involved in Hyderabad twin bombing.

Manzar Imam MPA from Sindh was killed in a January terrorist attack.

Two bombs mounted on bicycles exploded in a crowded market place at Dilsukh Nagar in Hyderabad on Feb. 21, killing 16 people and injuring 100 others.

Pakistan immediately condemned the terrorist attack.

In a report from Karachi, news agency ANI said: “Indian television channel India TV has apologized for inadvertently using the photo of the slain Sindh MPA Manzar Imam after mistaking him for an alleged Indian Mujahideen member of the same name, who’s believed to be involved in the Hyderabad twin blasts that took place last week”.

While the Government of India itself had nothing to do with the India TV allegations, Rehman Malik on Monday demanded an apology from the Indian government as well as summoning the Indian High Commissioner in Islamabad.

“We demand an apology from the Indian government, as Syed Manzar Imam was innocent and had nothing to do with terrorist and criminal activities,” Malik said.

The News was in touch with the Indian government officials in Delhi and at first they were taken aback with the development and appeared unaware.

Later, they appeared relaxed that the telecast had been lost in the ‘media babel’, saying India TV was not a very credible television channel. None of the other Indian television channels or the print media picked up the factually wrong report.

Malik rightly said that not only proof should be provided to Pakistan before alleging its involvement, but also that such mistakes ensure that the real culprits stay safe.

Earlier, two Pakistanis from Lahore were also alleged to have been present in India taking part in criminal activities until they presented themselves before the media in the provincial capital to clear their name.

In the past, the Indian government has pointed finger at Pakistan for several terrorist attacks on its soil including the Samjhota Express attack in which Pakistanis were killed, but eventually after investigations it had to agree that Indian nationals were involved in the tragedy.

On another note, exercises in ‘cut and paste’ have resulted in hilarious mistakes by both governments which appeared to be careless attempts at ‘googling’ information. Indians have used the photograph of a Pakistan Air Force chief instead of their own, and Pakistanis inadvertently ‘googled’ an Indian naval fighter in an advertisement for an exercise in which the Indians had not been invited.

But there appears to be no explanation and maybe India TV itself can explain how a dead MQM member appeared as the face of an Indian Mujahideen. Or was it again an attempt to google for photographs where the MQM member and the Indian Mujahideen had similar names?

India TV. No body in india considers them to be part of Media.

They are more of a comic news channel.

In my opinion this is a green on green attack. Wahabi vs salafi. I am willing to have a wager on this.

Mistakes do happen. At least IndiaTV had the decency of regretting. How many channels accept their mistakes wrt to Hindus?

When will Pakistani TV news channel apologise for claiming the 26/11 attackers as Hindus? In fact many still call it a conspiracy.

Good point. They are unapologetic freaks. For them even lie told is good because it has done damage to the enemy.

INDIA TV...... its like a comedy channel.

I guess a case needs to be filed against this channel for the way they sensationlize "news"... mountain out of a molehill.

At least they apologized realizing a mistake whereas Paki media keeps twisting facts and deliver FILTH and LIES.
