On Thursday, September 24, 2009 around 18:00, two fighter jets from the Navy, the Rafale aircraft carrier Charles de Gaulle, were damaged in the Mediterranean Sea about thirty miles east of Perpignan.

This event occurred during a test mission attended by two fighter jets Rafale.
