Are we really testing these missiles or testing something else??

i have been thinking the same question lately.

well i too dont like the news, but lets wait after all they have tested prithvi 70 times in past, so drdo knows what is going on. LF, yeah they must be cooking new things, with payload and other things, but they should be careful, if enemy feels that missile is not credible then it is useless deterance. Btw if agni is supose to carry nuke then why the hell SFC is testing it, let aemy do this, unless prithvi will carry nukes. Dont know who decide all this funny things.

Nitesh telemetry data can be gathered even if the missile is fired from its own launcher. Is there any report of any of the tests of Agni and Prithvi being fired from its own launcher as it will be during a war?

Yes sir, it is there, Agni was launched from rail mobile launcher recently, as SFC is conducting exercises regularly from some time now.

Perhaps we are trying to divert attention from some other part of the country where something more critical is going on.

Let us not forget our nuke tests coincided with missile tests in Orissa.

the final report said that something went wrong with the test range apparatus so nothing wrong with prithvi. moreover even if there is something wrong then soon to be retired prithvis wont make that significant effect over sfc

it was only test rang equipment, please remember, we have tested this more then 70 times, with that kind of experiance they can launch it upside down.
What is more importsnt is the fact that we need data lots of it so that future missile dont take too much development time.
Btw, even russian space rockets fails, despite they have so so much experiance, this is very tough branch of science, therefore we should not jump to conclusiin but total quality control should be their.
