Iran media said Iran opened air space for Chinese fighters, so it may be China-Pakistan-Iran-Turkey.
I don't think that Iran was involved and none of us can prove it since they're so obsessed with Soviet-style secrecy. Pakistan might be involved but there was no official announcement and neither can I see anything like that in Pakistani forums. I think it was a a bilateral exercise between you and Turkey this time. I know Anatolian Eagle is a multi-national exercises but no other country is written about.

US was up in arms just listening your name and Turkey's together in one sentence. Imagine if Iran was there in this exercise Pentagon bosses would just topple off their chairs.

The official report stated that it was a joint maneuvering of F-16s and Su-27s (J-11s in your case). That's certainly not a conservative first time style exercise. Guess Turkey is eager to get off the NATO bandwagon and shift allegiances to you.
NO Tshering, they have placed their Su-27s and not the J-11. Also only Unkil's friendly nations are allowed to maneuver with the F-16s, now it is china and something is to be bad it seems, i mean really bad. Pakistan might have ignited the idea of turkey becoming the Leader of Islamic nations and it is seems that they are pursuing the same. Turks oops Ottomans step away from the NATO.

Now i can see turks as the Ottoman, what was they before in the WWI

It is strategically and politically important for China to have the best of relations with Turkey.

Turkey is not too enamoured with the NATO given that the EU is blocking its entry on what is perceived by them as 'race reasons'.

Strategically, Turkey control the Bosphorus Straits that connects the Sea of Marmara with the Black Sea.

The Black Sea ports are important for shipping oil to the West from the CAR oilfields.

Therefore, it the event of a requirement for China to 'regulate' oil to the West for strategic and political interests, Turkey would play a part, if adequately soft soaped. As an aside, it might be of interest to note that China is on the best of terms with Iran. Here too, a choke point - the Straits of Hormuz and oil comes into play.

From the political point of view, Turkey has ethnic connection with East Turkmenistan (Uighur Autonomous Region of China or Xingjian). Turkey was rather hot under the collar during the Uighur repression in China. Now, with friendly ties with Turkey, further reaction from Turkey in case the Uighurs once again raises a revolt. will be mellowed. This will also ensure that the Muslim countries are disarmed politically in case of any repression against the Uighurs.

China is playing her cards well.

Actually it isn't the entire NATO that is blocking it. Germany has historic grudges and also ethnic problems with conservative and fanatic Turks demanding this and that in their country. Now Germany politically might be a secular country but culturally it is inherently Christian and therefore it is opposed to Turkey entering EU. Another country that is not pleased with Turkish entrance is France who has almost similar reasons with Turks.

Strategically, Turkey control the Bosphorus Straits that connects the Sea of Marmara with the Black Sea.
Turks still control limited part of waters that are only strategic to European side of the world and have no use to Chinese. The Russian Navy is the main power in that region and that's something even Turks won't refute.

That would be stretching it too far. I don't think that Turkey is planning to leave NATO anytime soon and is therefore committed to its regulations and restrictions as all the member states are. It is only the EU with which it is in trouble and not NATO which is a military pact. 99% of Turkish military arsenal is heavily Western and therefore they still cannot be as independent as their current government would like them to be for at least another 20 years. Their entire fleet based assets whether in navy, air force or army are Western made.

China is playing her cards well.

Even if Turkey is opposed to China's internal matters, I doubt it would dare to oppose Beijing in any tangible way. Muslim countries especially the OIC are just a joke and a bunch of hypocrites. They will shout and cry and demand stuff for terrorists and separatists in Kashmir whereas they wouldn't dare to talk in that tone with a non-democratic country lest it gets an AK barrel stuffed in its mouth. OIC has gone so hypocritical that even the weak GOI has started ignoring their bigotry and biased attitude. It is a dead organization and cannot do anything anymore against China or India except whine like a cry baby.

China is just too strong for Turkey to handle in terms of hostilities either politically or militarily. So the current AKP government is choosing to move away from West ASAP using Chinese growth on its side. And of course, Pakistan has a critical part in this since it fancies itself as some future co-leader alongside China forgetting that it is NOWHERE near Chinese might and clout.

More Chinese stupidity revealed straight from CCP,USA borrowing money from China to contain China .Lol
To some extent ,USA soldiers are just lansquenets of CHinese businessmen.

For example, in Afghanistan, USA soldiers died and bleeded ,but finally people find that Chinese in fact are the one benifits most economically there and most mines there are being dug by CHinese.

So does they do in Iraq.. thousands of Yankees died and bleeded there, but finally Yankees find that Iraq oil would be snatched by CHinese who don't drop one blood.

such a currency swap agreement seems not very attractive, but they are the most effective tool to undermine USA's economy hegemony.
