There was a time Japan empire had the same thinking that China was part of Japan till you were freed by the Western alliance. I would like to see more discussion on China's illegal occupation of Tibet rather than off the topic exchange of views. All the historic facts available on the wikipedia prove that TIBET was never a part of China. So here is the invitation to our friends from China on this forum to justify your illegal occupation of independent nation of TIBET.

If China is so passionate to reclaim its so called former territories post second world war than why have you not been able to assimilate Taiwan under China's flag? Is it because you will have to face formidable foe?

They came, they saw and they conquered.

But it's not complete. Before British/Spanish rule US was not a country. It was like Tribal/Nomadic. No religion, No economy nothing ! They invaded the place where no one was claiming. Even Texas was not part of geographical mexico, if you are aware of history.

Tibet is different thing. It has long history around 2,000 years back. When Ashoka spread Buddhism outside India, Tibet was influenced and transform as Buddhist country. Later on, China invaded the peaceful country with full of Buddhist monk and no resilient. I agree that anyone would have done the same as it was easy to capture But Tibet was not part of China and that is fact.
