Three smugglers shot dead at Indo-Pak border, 10 kg heroin recovered - The Times of India AMRITSAR: The Border Security Force (BSF) gunned down three international smugglers including two Pakistani and one Indian near Indo=Pak international border in Ajnala sector in the wee hours of Thursday and recovered 10 kilogram of heroin valued at around Rs 50 crore in the international market. According to BSF sources, a patrolling party suspected some movement near Sundar Garh Border Outpost and challenged the intruders who opened gunfire. In retaliatory gunfire the BSF shot dead two Pakistani smugglers and one Indian who had arrived to receive the consignment of narcotics. The Pakistani smugglers who had entered the Indian territory were trying to push the packets of heroin through a waterpipe from across the border fence. "We are yet to identify the Indian smuggler who was to receive the heroin," said BSF sources. Earlier on March 19, the BSF had recovered 22 kilogram heroin and killed 3 Pakistani smugglers and then on March 26, 14 kilogram heroin was recovered from Indo-Pak international border.
