Adux isn't Diwan Velu Thampi considered the first freedom fighter in Travancore
Yup, He is. He was the one who commanded by great grandfather, so basically they did it to together. He called the rebellion, my great grandfather responded, took to the battle field first with his men, before Diwan ever entered the Battlefield in other conflicts. But I would give the claim to the Diwan. He was the leader, and a good one at that; deserves it.
And the ruler of Travancore shamelessly betrayed his own Diwan in a show of subservience to the British .... the funniest part is in Kerala the descendants of the same king is considered God by most political parties, while the Pazhassi Raja of Malabar who really fought the British and lost his life is all but forgotten.
