On the contrary, India struck Pakistan keeping the US in the loop. They weren't their usual "India and Pakistan must talk" selves after the strikes. The US hates being kept out in general. It would have reacted quite differently to the current situation.

Of course there will be pressure, that's why we have diplomats - to deal with the pressure and justify our stance and actions.

Its plain as day that Pakis are not going to desist, I even doubt more surgical strikes will deter them in any meaningful way. We need to take strong action, no matter the pressure or we'll continue to bleed. If that price is acceptable for whatever benefit 'restraint' grants us - then lets acknowledge that and not bother much about such attacks.

India and US are working very closely with each other, US do support India's action but also from US perspective they do not want see any escalation further and IA is also acting responsibly not rub PA nose to the ground further...
