LeT terror module planned to bomb Delhi: Chidambaram

The Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) terror module busted here today had planned to attack a crowded locality with bombs, Home Minister P Chidambaram said today.

"There was no VVIP on their target," he told a press conference here hours after central agencies and police forces of three states busted a terror module by arresting two suspected LeT militants.

They were planning to detonate a bomb or more in a crowded locality, he said, adding more details would come after their detailed interrogation.

They will be produced before courts in Delhi and other respective states, he said. The Home Minister congratulated central agencies and police of three states involved in the successful operation to bust an important LeT sponsored terrorist module.

LeT needs to be routed.
Routed where? Pakistan?

LeT was created with the sole intention to free Kashmir. It's a different thing, they are International now.

Good work by the Delhi police.

Such news shouldn't be made public because the moment it comes out in the open, human rights terrorists will get involved in protecting LeT and other kinds. They should torture these scum until they spill out all the beans and then put a bullet into their heads. This way, we don't have to kill human rights terror supporters and at the same time, the job gets done.

i don't believe this news at all.. When IB & police informants were produced as 13/7 blasts suspects, everyone has the right to believe this is a frame up & complete drama or game by home ministry or congress for votes & to save their face as elections are going..

They have not even caught anyone in israel embassy car bombings also... Also the big thing is Sonia is out of India for 'some game' in disguise of treatment...

Third Terrorist arrested by Delhi Police

New Delhi: A day after Delhi Police foiled major terrorist-planned attacks in the national capital with the arrest of Pakistan-based terror outfit - Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) - two operatives from south east Delhi, a man suspected to be a terrorist was detained from Hazaribagh in Jharkhand.

Special Cell, the anti-terrorist wing of Delhi Police will get the custody of the arrested man today, media reports said.

It was also learnt that the terrorists identified as Ehtesham and Shafqat -- both in their early 20's -- were arrested at Tughlakabad Extension in south east Delhi on his information.

The suspect, identified as Taufiq Ahmed was living in Hazaribagh since January. Notably, the two terrorists arrested by Delhi Police were also staying in Hazaribagh as students where they planned the attacks.

The recent arrest has raised the possible connection between Maoists and Jihadis.

Hazaribagh's connection with terrorist outfits was first unearthed in 2002 when the state police gunned down two alleged Pakistani terrorists - Zahid and Salim - who were involved in the Kolkata American Centre attack the same year.
