Uttar Pradesh is becoming a mad house.

Mulayam gets a temple, his party a Chalisa

Lucknow, Dec 2 (IANS) A la Tamil Nadu, a temple is coming up in Uttar Pradesh, dedicated to Mulayam Singh Yadav. A “Samajwadi Chalisa” – for the Samajwadi Party – is already out.

The temple could be ready by the time the Samajwadi Party completes a year in office in March 2013.

The state’s information and public relations departments are in an overdrive, running advertisement campaigns in the print and audio-visual media.

It was on Nov 22, Yadav’s 74th birthday, that the foundation was laid for a temple for the party’s “supreme deity”.

The temple is being constructed by party secretary Rajesh Saini at Nagla Mali in Aligarh district.

Saini says the money for the temple was collected through donations from the public. The land was offered gratis by the villagers.

“There is a movement to construct a ‘bhavya’ (grand) temple of Netaji,” Saini said, referring to Yadav’s sobriquet.

“We are neither misusing government funds nor forcibly demanding money. The temple is being built in keeping with the sentiments of the ‘jan manas’ (masses),” Saini added.

The estimated cost of the temple is Rs. 11 lakh. It will house a life-size statue of the wrestler-turned-politician Yadav.

Party sources confirmed that an order would soon be placed for a white marble statue in Rajasthan.

The one state where similar temples have come up for actors and political veterans is Tamil Nadu.

An architect has been hired to design the temple, which will have a ‘sanctum sanctorum’, a waiting room and an open hall to accommodate devotees.

Samajwadi Party spokesman Rajendra Chowdhary said: “I am told the temple is being built by some party workers at their own expense.”

A “Samajwadi Chalisa” is being written by Kamta Prasad Keshri, a practitioner of homeopathic medicine who claims to be enamoured by “Netaji’s style of functioning”.

The composition of the 59-year-old doctor from Mirzapur is finding many takers.

Some Samajwadi Party workers feel they have a right to “sing paeans to their party leaders”.

The Chalisa, comprising 40 verses and modelled on Hanuman Chalisa, was recently printed and distributed in Mirzapur and at party office Nov 22, coinciding with Yadav’s birthday.

Keshri, who prefers to call himself a ‘sanket kavi,’ a poet of nuance, told IANS that while he has written satire and other forms of poetry, this was the first time he had composed a chalisa for a political party.

The “Samajwadi Chalisa” was composed when the Samajwadi Party stormed back to power some eight months ago.

Keshri said he would continue to compose poetry on Mulayam Singh and his son, Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav.

“My aim is to ensure that the SP gets maximum seats from UP in the Lok Sabha polls. I will do everything I can with my pen to make that happen,” Keshri said.

Keshri’s earlier compositions include ‘Mera Bharat Mahaan’ and ‘Devi Durga’.

Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav appeared to distance himself from sycophancy. He said he disapproved of the temple: “If such a temple is being built, even by an individual, the party is opposed to it.”

It should be said as Mosque. Mullahs should do namaz there for Mullahyam. Here Mulayam Singh's stooges did not show the courage to build the Mosque in His name

More hindus in number vote for sp than muslim.
Sp wins majority of seat which is 90% hindu majority in up.
More hindus vote for sp than bjp in up election.

The most loyal vote base of sp is hindu obc group yadav.
    Can you deny it.

There has 27 muslim mla in up assembly who is not from sp.

It is a proff that significant number of muslim in up vote for other party.

But you can't even show me 3 yadav obc mla from other party than sp in up assembly.

There has 7 muslim mp from up none from sp.

How many yadav obc mp from up elected other party than sp.

So blame yadav obc first for sp rise.

    As you wish.

69 Muslim mla elected in up assembly 43 from sp,26 from other party.

    For you-

69 Muslims win, UP’s highest ever
Amidst the rush to woo Muslims by all parties, a total of 69 Muslim candidates won the Assembly elections this time, the highest since independence. In 2007 elections, 56 Muslims candidates were successful in reaching the Assembly.
Out of the 69 Muslim candidates who won, 43 belong to the SP. The party had fielded 78 Muslim candidates.

69 Muslims win, UPÂ’s highest ever - Indian Express

There has 7 muslim mp from up and none of them from samajwadi party.

A living proff that muslim don't vote so much for samajwadi party in loksabha election.

    Proff:
MP, MP in Uttar Pradesh, List of MPs by statewise

Another point what i say there has 26 muslim mla in up assembly who does not belongs to
    samajwadi party.

But there has only one yadav mla who does not belong to samajwadi party in up.
A clear indication yadav votes for sp in mass than anyone in up.

    Proff:Mla list of up assembly.

    List of Winners:Uttar Pradesh 2012

    Two point which i raise
1.More hindus in number vote for sp than muslims
2.More hindus in number vote for sp than bjp in up.

    Pleas read the part.

The SP increased its vote share toits highest 29.15 percent of total votes polled, up from 25.43 percent, helping to raise the party tally from 97 last time to a record 224.
In comparison, the BSP lost 4.52 percent of its votes to 25.91 percent this time from its highest-ever vote share of 30.43 percent in 2007. Its tally came down to 80, against a record 206 in the last assembly polls.
The Congress, which carried out a whirlwind campaign in the state under the leadership of Rahul Gandhi, could increase its tally by six seats to 28 seats, but managed to increase 3.03 percent of its vote share to 11.63percent this time, up from 8.61 percent in 2007.
On the other hand, the BJP whichis continuously losing its vote share in the state during the last three elections - managed only 15 percent of total votes polled, down from 32.51 percent in 1996 assembly polls to 20.12 percent in 2002 assembly polls to16.97 percent vote share in 2007assembly polls.

With highest tally of 224, SP increases 3.72 percent vote share

So we see in 2012 sp wins 29.15% popular vote but gets 224 seats means 55.17% seat in up assembly.

43 out of 69 muslim mla is from sp party which means 62% of muslim mla.

Not so much differance for sp share in percentage of total mla and percentage of total muslim mla.

So as we see sp has 62% muslim mla that means sp no way gets more than 50% muslim vote in up.

Because we can see sp win 29% vote but win 55% seat.

On the other hand we can see there has 26 muslim mla in up other than samajwadi party.

So it indicates other party at least get 50% muslim vote as 38% muslim mla in up does not belong to sp.

And other party gets 70% vote but wins only 45% seat.

So it is very logical other party together gets more percentage of muslim vote than their percentage among muslim mla.

Muslim who vote for non samajwadi party divided into two way for bsp and congress and three way in many seat with muslim party contesting.

If non samajwadi parties together don't get 50% muslim vote they won't have 38% of muslim mla in up.

Because they contest election separately and their vote divided.

Muslim are 19% of up's population.

Even we think sp gets 50% muslim vote .
    That means 9.5% .
    But sp get 29.15% vote.
That means other 19.65% votes comes from hindus.

And we see more than two times hindu in number votes for sp in up than muslim.

    Bjp gets 15% of vote.
I am assuming all are hindu vote.

But we see sp gets 19.65% hindu vote and 9.5% muslim vote total 29.15% vote.

So we can clearly say that more hindus vote for sp than bjp in up.

Singh, you must call in for donation to build a DFI Mandir/Gurudwara/Mosque/Church/Synagogue and get hold of someone here for the DFI Chalisa/ Bible or whatever.
