    they are romas from serbia, it was tapped on international roma day 8.april this year. some say because romas are thousand years in europe they are "heavily mixed" im curious what you think how much indian they still retain in their looks? and would they pass still in india as natives?

    Yes, many of them would pass off an Indian, while obviously, many others are mixed with Europeans.

    i think majority would pass as indian, at least where im from they look quiete homogenous if they dont have recent european ancestry. also not all people in that video are romas, many of the bypassers are serbs

    Are the Serbs friendly with the Romas? Do you have Serb friends?

    i live in austria and dont have many friends, but thats not because im roma, im a person who avoids socialising with others. but i guess there are such and such, some serbs wouldnt like to befriend a roma but many would.

    Oh, ok. Well, I befriended a Serb at an auto dealership. His name is Dragisha. He was very friendly.

    @Soul83 many gypsies look like typical north West Indians. In fact many north West Indians are lighter than gypsies.

    yeah i agree. gypsies are very dark. dark brown. they look more central or southindian

    Yeah there is a theory that the Dom people(who are tribals or scheduled castes) of Gujarat,were the ancestors of these gypsies.They could also have been descendants of Gujjars or Jats.Sadly the gypsies like jews have been persecuted wherever they have gone.That does not mean they have not made a mark for themselves.Charlie Chaplin had gypsy ancestry.

    probably dom from nw india. it was in the newspapers, dom and rom even sounds similar
