Attack took place in a market while people were shopping
At least five people were killed and 25 injured Saturday in a suicide bombing against a Shiite colony in Quetta in the Pakistani province of Baluchistan (southwest). No group claimed responsibility for the attack yet.
- Confirm the deaths of five people, including a child and a woman, in a suicide attack on the city of "Hazara" [Shia community]. About 25 people, including seven children or teenagers and three women, were injured - said the police chief of Quetta.
The attack happened in a market while people were shopping during the "Eid al Adha," the Festival of Sacrifice, which began on Saturday.
Target of several attacks, members of the Hazara Shia minority have often with police escort during their collective displacements. The rich province of Balochistan is the scene of attacks on Shiites, accused of separatist activities since 2004.
