Prayers with the innocent dead at Wagah. Hope their families know that their taxes sponsored the people who killed their loved ones.

At what point will the core of the Ghazi army realize that this shit cannot be controlled? Or is Pakistan really a defunct state that nobody has control on the arms of the state? I would say Paki Army should corps regularly meet with Indian Army corps, only then those mad mullahs will come back to sanity.
Pakistan's army does not care. It only cares about its privileges.
Pakistan's elite is the worst example of a feudal mentality. Common people or even soldiers live or die, they simply do not care.

Seems two groups Jundullah and Jamaat-ul-Ahrar are claiming the attack now.
Normally in countries you have multiple politicians trying to claim the success of civil/scientific/economic projects.

in Pak, you have multiple Jihadi groups fighting over the glory of a suicide bomb. :tsk: Seems like there is a struggle to show who is more brutal/ruthless and hence be "king of the jungle".

BSF, Rangers braced for attack after Wagah intel | The Indian Express
The Research and Analysis Wing had issued warnings of an imminent suicide-attack targeting the evening flag ceremony at the Wagah border on October 15, more than two weeks before Sunday night's lethal bombing on the Pakistani side, government sources have told The Indian Express. The warning, the sources said, came after Pakistan's Rangers enhanced their forces and were seen erecting new defensive structures — a move which led the Border Security Force to place troops on high alert.

The suicide-bomb attack at Wagah took place at a parking-lot barricade some 350 metres from the international border, at 6.12 pm Indian time. The attack came as Pakistani visitors were returning to the parking area after watching the evening border parade, an event that draws thousands on Sundays. Among the victims are several women and children, and at least three Rangers personnel.

From their observation posts, Border Security Force personnel said they saw a massive cloud of smoke rise after the explosion. "There were people lying everywhere," a BSF officer told The Indian Express. "Our troops counted more than a hundred. We tried contacting the Rangers to find out what had happened, but got no response."
BSF Director General D K Pathak said: "We were already on high alert and had deployed extra quick reaction teams near the ceremony area. The suicide attack on the Pakistan side of Wagah border took place near the parking lot when visitors were leaving after watching the ceremony."

"On Pakistan Rangers' request, we have decided not to hold the retreat ceremony parade for the next three days.said they were calling off the ceremony to mourn their dead," Pathak said.

Government sources said the BSF had observed troops from the Pakistan Rangers 11 Wing enhancing defensive posts on roads leading up to the border, and placing new barricades, during the second week of October. Though the Pakistan did not formally notify the BSF of the reasons for enhanced defensive fortifications, the BSF intelligence-wing, the G-Branch, interpreted the actions as suggesting preparations for a suicide-borne car attack.

RAW, the sources said, later detected preparations for a suicide attack, leading India to enhance defences in case terrorists attempted to breach the border either in a fidayeen attack or using a vehicle. Major General Tahir Khan, commander of the Pakistan Rangers in Punjab, told the media that the suicide attacker had been standing near the first of a series of walk-through gates and scanners leading up to the parade ground, and thus evaded detection. "He did not breach security," Khan said.

Inspector General Mushtaq Sukhera said the Rangers had been prepared for an attack, "but when large numbers of people started to leave the ground, the bomber blew himself up". Sukhera said the bomber was estimated to have used a suicide belt packed with five kilograms of explosives, as well as metal pellets. Indian visitors to the evening flag-lowering ceremony, which draws thousands to stadia-like venues on both sides of the border each Sunday, had already vacated the area, a BSF official said. "It was just luck that the bombing didn't take place a few minutes earlier or we could have had a stampede."

Two factors needs to be considered here

1) Blow back of zarb-e-azab

2) Violence during Moharram.

Regarding the claims of various groups.

If this is really a blow back of Zarb - e - Azab then the location of the attack which is Punjab makes sense.

If this is a sectarian violence as claimed by Jundullah ( May be with external support or local support) this also makes sense, since the violence takes place every year at these times.

It is a complete mess out there in which various factions, intel agencies, international powers playing their game.

No matter how many smoke screens are deployed to make the situation dizzy and confused so that the real culprits can escape, the truth always comes out in the due course of time. I hope the security establishment comes up with the facts out in the open unlike the other incidents in the past.

Why would India does a terror attack at Wagha, when Indian establishment wants MFN status and good trade relations with Pakistan??

India also asked Pakistan for a transit route to Afghanistan, which passes through the Wagha check post.

That doesn't stir pseudo-patriotism so it is never considered. All in all, "senior" media figures like this gentleman like to blame everything and anything on India.

Interestingly, based on defence actions by Pak at the border two weeks back which were based on a possible suicide attack, security was beefed up at India's end.

* Almost two weeks ago, the Research and Analysis Wing had issued a warning to the BSF at the Wagah border that there could be a suicide blast or a fidayeen attack, following which India beefed-up its security at the border post. This report in The Indian Express quotes government sources as saying that the the BSF intelligence-wing, the G-Branch, interpreted certain defence actions by Pakistan as suggesting preparations for a suicide-borne car attack. Asked then about the security measures being taken by Pakistan, India's Inspector General of BSF, frontier, Ashok Kumar told Times of India, "They must be having some security apprehension, but we have our security system in place".

This is a crucial point !!

The intel is there floating on both sides of the border, Lets see what the investigative agencies say from the other side of the border.

This denial by Pakistan is making their country more and more unstable. Instead of blaming other
And pointing fingers they need to look at themselves .

Incidentally during Karachi airport attack , geo tv was first to claim that indian weapons were found at the scene. Later it turned out that it was coagulant medicine bottles manufactured in india.

Looks like geo tv is no longer committed to "Aman ki asha"

All in all goes to show that Paki media personnel are on the same level as that of Lal Topi Zaid Hamid during crisis events. Make up something anti India and absolve local authorities of all sins.

They have developed these instincts over years, no amount of bollywood and "Aman ka Tamasha" will break their reflex actions. They are first Muslims then SUnni/Shia then Punjabis/Balochis/Sindhi then Pakistanis and then anything else. Enemies are pre-defined for each category and level at qayadat-e-pakistan, nothing can change those.

RIP to the dead !
This is/was bound to happen when you provide safe heaven for terrorist into your country and try using them into proxy wars, the snake would some day for sure bite his master if he isn't comfortable with him anymore. And on top when you identify terrorist as good and bad terrorist, one can't help but feel sorry about that country. As @Dovah said you reap what you sow.

Pak rangers requested BSF to suspend the border ceremony for 3 days but in the last minute today they informed BSF that they intended to go ahead with the ceremony complete with spectators. Speaks volumes about professionalism.

PS. I am not contesting the idea behind it. But the way it was done. When it was decided at local flag meeting to suspend it for 3 days.
