So the milap trials were successful?

Previously it was rejected because of higher rate of jamming.

since this is carbine, it should have been properly named, since terrorists shall be at the receiving end of this carbine, it should have been named in such a manner so that it would create fear in heart and mind of terrorist.

DRDO does not produce any rifles, OFB is DRDOs arms manufacturer. The report reads that DRDO and OFB will jointly offer the rifle to the Army!!

Considering that it fires a 5.56mm can we suppose that it will issued as a frontline weapon to our troops, like the M4 carbine?

MSMC is a replacement for aging WW2 Sterling 9mm carbine, MSMC will be issued to Officers and JCO and driver etc who are manning the 9mm carbine in Army ..

MSMC use 5.56 x 30mm rounds which are half the size of 5.56 x 45mm used by INSAS AR, though MSMC can hit accurately to 200ms .
