Also during Red flag 08, the Americans found foreign material in the Sukhoi Engine, which leads into 60 sec delay. the same problem which cause the crash in next year, Su 30 Crashed near Jaislamer

Over 2 decades of service and only this many crashes? Have to trust the system.

    Lets compare with other A/Cs-

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_F-15_losses#2000s

the beloved of many, Rafale which became operational since 2000, and are operated in comparatively fewer no. than MKIs

I have heard that the IAF pilots fly more hours than most AFs worldwide. If so it understandable the machine fatigue may cause more accidents. So, please refrain from panic mongering.

Correction : Americans did not find anything, our guys were trying to avoid FOD hence the 60 second delay. Just to be on safe side, incase of breakdown due to FOD at that point in time aircraft had to be shifted to Russia to Russia. Now a days that may no longer the case we are doing complete overhaul ourselves. Our guys were being cautious. If i remember correctly each red flag exercise costs us about 1000 crores, why take the risk.
