This is a landmark decision and will neutralise any Indian apprehension over the new Govt and its policy of independent decision making beyond external pressures or allurement. It will also placate the rebellious Northern Sri Lankans that the new Govt is trying to be as fair as it can under rather difficult political, diplomatic and economic conditions. It is also the proverbial last nail in the coffin for Rajapakse. The West will also have to tone down its campaign against Sri Lanka. Seek justice, but allow SL to find a new path.
