DJI opened up its SDK (or software development kit) to outside developers.

At 5:10 in the video below, Spark Aerial demonstrates a very cool technology. It slaves the camera gimbal on the DJI drone to the Oculus Rift Virtual Reality headset. In the past, this kind of technology was only seen on military helicopter gunships where the cannon was slaved to the pilot's helmet. From 5:45 to 6:33, you can see a demonstration of the Spark Aerial technology.

The second Spark Aerial tech demo is the Leap Motion. It is a hand-gesture flight control of a DJI drone that removes the need for joysticks. You can watch it in action from 6:48 to 7:43 in the video below.
