Samajwadi Party goondas and Police attack Medical Students and Doctors of Medical College in Kanpur(GSVM):

Two medical students have went to petrol bunks last friday near the medical college in Kanpur. At that time, Samajwadi Party MLP Irfan Solanki had opened his doors without checking the rear mirror, which caused the medical students who came behind to ram into the car door.

When the students asked him why he opened his door without checking the mirrors, the SP goonda who was with him had boasted that the students dont know who they are dealing with and had beaten a handicapped student with the butt of the rifle he carried. Since the public and other medical students gathered there after witnessing this incident in support of the medical student who was attacked, the SP MLA Irfan Solanki had left the scene angrily vowing revenge.

After thirty minutes minutes, more than 250 members of Samajwadi Party Goondas along with 200 Police under the district Superindent of Police Yashavi Yadav had entered the medical college without the Dean's permission. Then, they had attached the Hostel warden who went to them to talk about solving the problem without violence.

Then they had shut off the power supply and had beaten every one there and destroyed all the laptops and other pocessions of the students and then went onto tear the books of the students . Without any provocation or reason, the police had used over 200 rounds of rubber bullets on the students which can cause immense physical pain. Some students were stripped and beaten. Two students were thrown off the roof of the building after beating them up.

All of this happened in front of the SP of police and the Samajwadi Party MLA .Then they proceeded to arrest some 30 students. When the Dean of the college and Head of the Department of SPM came there to prevent the violence against students and their imprisonment, they were beaten up too for no reason. Case has been registered against the students and they have refused to file a complaint against the MLA.

So protesting against this issue, all the medical college students in UP and the private doctors from IMA of UP are going on a strike

Where are all the retards who were rejoicing the SP win here again:rolleyes:

300 medical college teachers resign, UP CM appeals to end stir

Kanpur/Lucknow: Nearly 300 teachers of a medical college here resigned on Monday in the wake of agitation by junior doctors against the arrest of their colleagues paralysing medical services in Uttar Pradesh, even as Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav appealed to them to call off the strike.

"The CCTV footage of whatever happened in Kanpur is available and will be probed. Officers have been asked to conduct a probe, meet representatives of both the sides and take action against those who were on the wrong side," Yadav told reporters in Lucknow.

"The government in of the view that strike should end. It is my appeal to doctors that keeping aside their dispute they should execute their responsibilities and save human lives," the Chief Minister said, assuring justice would be done.

Medical services continued to be disrupted for the fourth consecutive day with medical college as well as private doctors across the state joining the stir demanding release of 24 junior doctors of GSV Medical College and action against SSP, Kanpur Yashashwi Yadav and Samajwadi Party MLA Irfan Solanki.

Nearly 300 doctor teachers of the medical college gave their resignation to Director, Medical Education KK Gupta to protest against "barbaric" police action on 24 junior doctors and their subsequent arrest, said Aarti Lal Chandani, IMA Kanpur unit chief and Head of Medicine Department of GSV medical college.

The agitating doctors have also written to the Prime Minister and the President apprising them about the police action and sought their intervention into the matter.

Kanpur police SP (West) Gaurav Singh said all 24 junior doctors, allegedly involved in stone pelting, were arrested yesterday. He said police has been deployed around the medical college to avoid any untoward incident.

In Lucknow's King George's Medical university, agitating junior doctors locked the OPD to protest the incident and sat on a dharna at the university gate.

Taking note of the situation, KGMU authorities have cancelled leave of senior faculty members to ensure treatment to the patients.

In Aligarh, junior doctors at the Jawaharlal Nehru Medical college, Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) also went on strike.

President of the Resident Doctors Association Mohammad Ahsanullah told reporters the strike would continue till Solanki was arrested.

Medical services remained paralysed at Sir Sunderlal Hospital, Banaras Hindu University (BHU) in Varanasi.

"All medical facilities of the hospital will remain closed from today onward indefinitely," said Kartik Goel, President Resident Doctors Assocation, BHU.

Meanwhile, AAP leaders Kumar Vishwas and Sanjay Singh have also extended their support to the agitation saying the party is with the doctors on the issue.

Government hospitals Ursula and KPM Hospital are open and patients of the medical college are being transferred there for treatment.

Chandani accused supporters of SP MLA Solanki of registering fake FIRs against her and junior doctors.

"All the doctors have resigned wilfully in protest against the police lathicharge on the junior doctors of the college and their arrest," Chandani had said.

Senior government officials from Lucknow and Kanpur today met striking doctors asking them to end the boycott but they were adamant on their demands.

The IMA Kanpur chief claimed that nearly 2000 private doctors in the city are also not working in support of the strike and all nursing homes and private hospitals too were shut.

A clash broke out on Friday night between supporters of SP MLA Irfan Solanki and junior doctors of the GSV Medical college.

The clash occurred when the Aryanagar MLA objected to some junior doctors of the college allegedly misbehaving with an elderly person at the Medical College Square, SSP Yashasvi Yadav had said.

Following unruly scenes, the police later resorted to lathicharge to disperse the crowd. The incident left several people, including police personnel, journalists and many civilians injured, sources had said. The MLA was also injured in the clash, Yadav had said.

36 junior doctors were arrested after the incident. Twelve of them were later released. Almost 400 medical students and junior doctors got injured and a dozen are serious, Chandani had said.

SP MLA beaten up by junior doctors - The Times of India

I suppose the MLA was visiting the college with 250 goondas and police without Dean's permission as a show of support and for demostration of peace to the doctors and the Doctors being the violent pricks they usually are resorted to their usual violence :truestory:

Above statement is in contrast with the opening post.
Seems like police has already botched up investigation - no hope of justice left.

So, doctors should lose their self respect like usual and go onto "serve" people. Meanwhile, hardly the 10000+ doctors across a state of 20 crore population will matter hardly in the voting and those thugs can go scott free. great idea!

Because on every hand, mf media and so people will only curse docs for not doing their duty. Today's Gujarat Samachar has made headlines regarding how many patients were died due to docs' strike but nobody reported the truth.

    Yes. Now, I do understand.

Mate, UP-Bihar are not very hospitable places for anyone.

But, Doctors anywhere are the elite & privileged class. Just imagine, if this is the fate of staff (principal & professors) & students of a respected medical college where most students have an elite parental background, just imagine the fate of the rest.

Not everyone has the bargaining power, visibility & the organization that the medical fraternity has. The Yadav-Muslim combine (the neo-elite) have been rampaging & ravishing the Ganga-Yamuna belt for nearly 3-4 decades. Almost every strata of the society is at the receiving end of Yadav-Muslim wrath & there is nothing that can be done about it. They are too numerous & produce offsprings relentlessly. Reason:

Yadav knows that a cushy govt. job is waiting for their progeny while Muslims, driven by their sacred religious duty, know that they drive the polity & doodle the political landscape in half of India.

Only a polarization along religious lines would be able to break this menacing detente. Some of this has has already happened in UP West. But, beyond Kanpur (as we go eastwards) is the backyard of Namazwadi Party. So, you have to be careful whose car you have been hit by.

In our democracy (or maybe, any democracy), all the political power rests in the hand of community that multiplies the quickest & is votes en-mass as a block.

Regarding the colonial dinosaur called Police, it's sole raison d'etre is to serve & please their political daddies. No reforms could ever make a dent in this system based on "reciprocity of favours" between the Politicians & Police.

The only solution I can convolute is to scrap (literally, do away) with the current Policing system in India. &........

Allow guns......in the hands of citizens/civilians.

To hell with gun-control, which only serves the goondas-mafias-contractors & places civilians at the bottom of food-chain.

We can defend ourselves against anyone, including the almighty, omnipotent politicians. We do not need this Police.

We can do much better for ourselves & our people.

And, we would be anyday 100 times more responsible, disciplined & mature in our dealing with issues than this fugly, stinking, impotent, monstrosity called Police.
