USA using the great mujahideen to defend democracy epic backfire
Just like how they backed extremists in libya who were fighting for democracy or how for many decades LeT and paki groups were freedom fighters in kashmir ?
west would even back naxals citing freedom and democracy if we were weak and it was in there interest.
That is good video and thanks for it.
Pakistan tried a mini model of this with stolen US weapons, ammunition and money in Kashmir and created a big trouble for the govt and people there. So had local Kashmir mujahidins, Afghans and Arabs besides international Jehadies creating trouble for India. It is solely to the credit of Indian Army that they were not able to succeed as much as in Afghanistan.
Pakisatni, perhap. wanted a big country, bigger than their own size, to rule rather than snatch away Kashmir and Ladakh from India. Moreover, US priorities were directed at USSR and therefore their efforts could not be diverted on Kashmir.
Today, Pakistan is victim of wishing enlargement of their share of spoils in Afghanistan. They are fighting for their share without having done anything much. They should remain busy on that front before they direct the unemployed Afghan and rich fundamentalist Arab bigots once again towards Kashmir. Their backside should keep burning.
