I think one should not have any objection to a naturalised citizen holding an important political post.

What maybe debatable is that a naturalised citizen is foisted to a high post, without having first contributed in a large measure towards the polity and greatness of India.

Take the case of Sister Nivedita or Anne Beasant. Nobody will grudge them their place in Indian history - the worked for the good of India and contributed immensely.

I cannot accept Sonia or Rahul as Indian PM. Socialists to the core. Thank God MMS and Chidu have been around to forcefully impose some form of capitalism.

Please give Nehru a break here. Kashmir was going its own way under Hari Singh. Nehru and Sardar made sure he joins India.

Even the Italian Highness does not have the courage to give up Kashmir. It is an issue that every capable citizen of this country (save some liberals) will fight to death. Sonia knows that this is far more than she can chew, so all she can do is perhaps posture. Never anything more.

    I don't know man.

She has gotten away with so much over the last 2 decades. Unless she is removed from office I shy away from what will happen in the next two.

I can understand your apprehensions and at one point of time, I thought similar too. However, there's a need to rethink about all this.
What has she gotten away with, is the question. Well, what can she get away with?
Money? Blackmail can only last for so long. At one point in time, someone will open the lid (Subramaniyam Swamy is trying his best to pry it open) and then the law will catch up with her.
Power? No. One can't run away with power. One has to stay in power to have power. The Indian people, however illiterate and gullible she might think we are, do have a capacity to turn things around for themselves. When they do that, all hell breaks lose and man o man, the turnaround is spectacular! Think 1857, 1942, 1947. None of it could have been possible were the people themselves not interested. All they need is a catalyst. So, yes, Janata Janardan. Collectively, he sees all, collectively, he knows all and collectively, he is all powerful in this nation. If the people so will, she would be ejected from a position of power in a matter of days or hours and the next thing you know, she'd be taking shelter in the Italian Mission (like it happened once). So no, she can't get away with power.

Therefore we see, we still have the reins. All we need is the will to drive our chariot in the correct path and not let some ABC from some XYZ country take over our chariot, our nation, our dream and our future.

Don't know about Nehru's efforts but Patel surely and also the RSS men (Guruji Golwalkar, Prem Nath Dogra etc) who did the ground work with the Maharaja to convince him about Pakistani threat and joining India.

Hmph, after more than half a millennia under foreign rule Indians have forgotten to think for themselves. Hence why this current sham of a democratic system the Brits implemented is still in effect allowing generations of idiots and scamsters and scoundrels and thugs since 1947 to rule till now. You think these people are scared of the Law? The judicial system is soo toothless, vigilantes armed with sticks would do a better job of enforcing basic tenets of governance. I am not talking about petty crime here, but the millionaires and billionaires and people like Sonia have wealth (and power) beyond their what can fit in their wallet but are continually scheming for a few dollars more. These people commit crimes (yes thats what they are, crimes against the nation) for the sake of committing crimes, and you and I are never going to be able to rationalise their intentions.

I agree with your sentiment. But the people in power have no sense of public responsibility and civic duty born out of a lack of accountability and hence no fear in reprisals. And once the Indian people learn of the vile mismanagement of the nation I fear bloody revolt.
