Strongly agree with this topic. Was wondering why hasn't there been a talk on this or even a general mention of it. Rafale is a 4++ generation fighter that will be used in numbers as well as tech wise while AMCA would be a good complementary next gen jet. Since we have already worked on the wind tunnel test designs, I think for an experienced player like Dassault it would be even more easier to assist ADA to bring it to reality.I think it would be good business. We already are to have an engine tie up for it. The avionics of Rafale NG are 5th generation. Stick it in a 5th gen airframe and you have top notch fighters. It would be easy transition for both India and France as we will both make the previous plane.
Benefits are multi-fold:
- Both nations get a cutting edge jet.
- Both nations are in complete agreement with each other with no disputes.
- The joint AMCA becomes a cutter into JSF's market in the future.
- Europe gets a 5th generation jet that Typhoon consortium may find tough to compete: French tech, Indian cost management and combined creation.
