no such claim has been made by NASIC..report from 2013 mentioned no shaheen 3 but specify babur cruise missile has a pathetic range of 350 Km

By reducing Payload and increasing fuel fraction, I think this Paki missile can have enhanced range(like 3000-4000 approx). However I think 5000 km is just usual "amlee" talk. Unless Paki Missile only intend to carry a stone or Tennis ball or magic carpet is going to be wrapped on to the missile, sure it may cover distance. In fact, with the last option(magic carpet) there is no limit. With jinn power it may even create a wormhole and transfer itself to another dimension

Neither these Jahils have any platform apart from their mainland to launch the missile. Then one could understand of having 5000km range Missile for India.

I asked @Zarvan to post a link to the OP. He did not. I did some searching, and turns out this news rumour originated from Facebook. This is fake. As pointed out by @south block, NASIC never claimed such a range.
