    Omar has lost his golies.

It seems that he has become hysterical.

It is one thing to be defeated by the Muftis, but it is a different ball game for him if Modi steals the thunder.

I think the BJP's game plan is even more clever than what Omar's pea-brain can fathom.

If BJP comes to power, it will be Lone who will lead the Govt and instead of the loot of the Abdullahs and Muftis, the BJP will try to ensure some real development and empowering the common man.

It will be a double blow since BJP would be seen having for faith in an ex Separatist and that would unnerve the Pakistan proxy, Huriand and be a tight slap to the dynastic stranglehold of the Abdullahs and Muftis for it would be seen given s tight slap into oblivion.

With more money in the pocket, with nothing disturbed on the special status, integration will be given a fillip.

And over the years the disenchantment that grew with unabated corruption and no development or jobs under the Abdullahs and Muftis, terrorism will die down and the people would themselves want 370 to go, for the economic sops would no loner be required to prop up the corrupt govts.

Maybe the tax regime would be slowly introduced so that there is no cataclysmic 'thunder'.

Poll fever goes radio-active in J&K

With a crippling power shortage virtually blacking out television, the assembly election campaign is playing out largely on radio and print. Given its reach and effectiveness, BJP, Congress, PDP and NC have gone on radio, and that includes private FM channels, to reach out to the largest numbers in quick time.
"I was surprised when I was advised to print posters in English besides Urdu and Kashmiri. It was news to me that there are good many people here who read and write English," said BJP general secretary Ram Madhav, who is in charge of the Kashmir Valley. "We've printed posters in English with Modiji's picture and his slogan of development, environment and tourism."

The BJP radio campaign talks about healing wounds. "Zakhmon ko bharna hai, BJP ko laana hai". With two recent instances of justice to innocent people killed in encounters, the slogan might just find some resonance. Congress is highlighting the work done during Ghulam Nabi Azad's two-and-half year rule from 2005. The party has put its star campaigner Azad on radio to emphasize achievements during his period. At the same time, it steers clear of claiming any credit for Omar Abdullah's coalition government from 2008 till 2014.

"Dozens of independent candidates and political party representatives visit our office every day. We've stopped taking more clients. We don't have any more slots available now," Farakh Gulzar, sales head of an FM channel says. "Parties and independent candidates prefer to go on radio because it reaches even the remotest parts of the Valley. A person, while driving or travelling on a bus, can also listen to the political chat." "But we don't entertain advertisements without written permission from the EC office here. Besides, we only run these for 20 to 30 seconds," he says.
BJP's full-page advertisements in Urdu and English dailies proclaim, "Jammu aur Kashmir ke badley halaat, chalo chalen Modi kay saath" (let's change J&K, let's march with Modi). "We may do well in Jammu and Leh, but won't be a big player in Kashmir. Modi's name can prompt people to come with us as his powerful image attracts people," a BJP worker says. "I am getting dozens of calls from local newspapers for advertisements every day," says Altaf Ahmad Thakur, BJP's media in-charge here.

"We release full-page advertisements with slogans and Narendra Modi's picture which appeals to people more than the lotus symbol." Thakur says local newspapers are making good money from campaign advertisements. Barely a day goes by without local dailies featuring BJP advertisements on their front pages. Congress and other parties are less conspicuous. "BJP is spending a lot on advertisements to hype Modi's slogans but this may help them in Jammu, not in the Valley," says G N Mooga, state Congress general secretary.

His tears will flow through the Jhelum and Chenub and flood and bring grief to Pakistan.

And Mufti Mehbooba will be breaking wind.

    A hung Assembly?
