There are two issues
1. Confessions are usually made in duress and are usually viewed with suspicion.
2. Is there any forensic or otherwise evidence which seals the case ?

Sarabjit was an innocent farmer who was drunk and he strayed into Pakiland

If he had been a terrorist he would have been tortured to death long back

Pakis were HOPING to exchange Sarabjit with Kasab

But that didnt happen so they killed him

The true nature of Pakis has been revealed by this episode

First they kept an innocent man in prison for 20 years and then murdered him

In between they raised false hopes for his family by making false promises of releasing him and pardoning him

Sarabjit has OPENED the eyes of those stupid Indians who believe that Pakis
can be reformed

The pakis are evil by nature and implacable in their hatred towards India

The biggest shame and flaws revealed in the Sarabjit case are not with Pakistan, but rather the pussyfooted Indian government. They denied any links with Sarabjit and left him to rot in a Pakistani jail, claiming he was not theirs. He dies, and the government labels him a martyr!! So how is he now a martyr? Was he really a RAW agent? One ex-spy claims he was, while at the same time Panchkula Police are flaunting around another Manjit Singh as the true RAW agent who Sarabjit was mistaken for. Who is lying, and who is telling the truth? I doubt if the pathetic, bureaucratic, creaky Indian administrators even know. These politicians and bureaucrats need to be spat on, on their dirty faces. What about Ravinder Kaushik?? Why have they not declared him a martyr to this day? I reckon his sacrifice is far greater than that of Sarabjit's (if Sarabjit truly was a RAW agent). Ravinder Kaushik has been dumped and ignored, and Sarabjit pointlessly declared the martyr only because media attention is on him?

This case shows very little about Pakistan, and shows a whole lot about the pathetic, dirty, lying rats in India we call politicians!

Was Sarabjit Singh a RAW agent? - Hindustan Times

Sarabjit Singh had gone to Pakistan for an operation managed by a senior Research and Analysis Wing (RAW) official, who later became the external intelligence agency's chief as well, sources have told HT.

"Sarabjit was an Indian spy in Pakistan. He managed to accomplish the task given to him but was caught while trying to flee," said an intelligence source who refused to elaborate more on the operation taken up by the spy.

A former intelligence official, who dealt with Sarabjit's case, said the operation executed by Sarabjit didn't serve any tactical purpose but still the agency had executed many such missions in Pakistan in the early and mid 90s.

"Some of the operations executed by the RAW during the period were totally mindless. Spies like Sarabjit and their family have paid huge cost for it. Sometimes, the agency officials executed operations out of personal bravado that they can get 'something' done in Pakistan," said the official.

Sources also point out that the agency is yet to evolve a policy for paying spies like Sarabjit or their families when they caught in the enemy land.

"Payments vary case to case depending on the nature of operation. There is no uniformity in discreet payments to families when such agents are caught or eliminated by the enemy," says a source.

"Sarabjit had been awarded a state funeral because his case was mainly highlighted due to efforts of his politically astute sister Dalbir Kaur. His family is also being compensated, But there are many cases in which the spies came back from Pakistan knocked the doors of courts to get their dues," the source said.

The world of spies is just like that. A solider can get a PVC for his supreme sacrifice, a spy cannot.

Yeah I have also seen that,,, That doesnt mean he is a terrorist,,, now please at least Pakistan cannot Accuse India for terrorism ,, that sounds weird ,,, everyone from an infant to old knows who helps terrorists ,,, hahahahahahaa,,, I will take some name ,,, Osama Bin Laden, Dawood Ibrahim, Syed Salauddin, Ajmal Kasab, Afzal Guru, and lots and lots of others. To end last but not the least a quotation from a beloved leader of Pakistan Syed Sallauddin
" We are fighting Pakistan's war in Kashmir and if it withdraws its support, the war would be fought inside Pakistan, "
—Sayeed Salahudeen (leader of Hizbul Mujahiden)

It seems you guys started it. He was tried and convicted by the Supreme Court of Pakistan for a series of bomb attacks in Lahore and Faisalabad that killed 14 bystanders in 1990.

BTW it was posted in your news paper and your RAW officer confirmed he was an operative. Therefore, what India has been saying regarding he getting drunk and strayed into Pakistan is a lie. Which means he confessing to the bomb attacks in Lahore and Multan is true. That makes him a terrorist.

I don't think so, in Pakistan terrorism is in private sector hand unlike India where its a Public sector (state owned) entity :p :p

It's a CLEAR case of mistaken identity but Pakis are hell bent on not providing any proof. It's not difficult to get "statements" from someone tortured to death but that's not the main proof you can argue. You have not taken any action against the killers or anyone else shows it was state sponsored TERRORISM.

But anyway Sana Lulla got a equalizer even though not a great way of doing it and it was done by "private sector non-state actor".
