Sania Mirza cliched her first- ever women's doubles Grand Slam title as she and her Swiss partner Martina Hingis won the Wimbledon 2015 crown on Saturday. The top seeds overcame the second-seeded Russian duo of Ekaterina Makarova and Elena Vesnina 5-7, 7-6, 7-5 in the summit clash that lasted two hours and 47 minutes. In an intense final set, the gritty Sania and Martina staged a stunning comeback from 2-5 down to take it 7-5 to win the Championship. This was Sania's first final appearance at the Wimbledon, while Martina has two doubles (1996, 1998) prior to Saturday's triumph and one singles title (1997) to her credit.

Had a crush on her in my early teens but with the advent of Anna Kournikova rest of the things got blurred.

On topic: Bravo girls. Excellent win. :india2:

But she is not hot. She used to be when she was 19-20, not anymore but she is a more mature player now so that evens it out.

Also she was not there in the early 2000s but I was and so was the MTV playing "Escape" 50 times a day. :basanti:

sania that paki , 'naam bade aur darshan choote' this fits to her,

she hardly ever won before, only in double she can win something,

bring her to single then no win for her,

media made her celeb only because she maybe first indian women or first indian muslim women,

otherwise she just made news by getting kicked out of tournaments.
