A very interesting thing that a military school has produced senior military officer, One Chief Minister, and best of all and most surprisingly, one Shankaracharya!!

    What a diverse combination.

Does speak well of the discipline ingrained by a bit of military and regimented life!

    A matter to celebrate!

I wonder if any School in India can have this unique distinction, where top people in the defence, politics and religion come from the school portals of the same school and that too a school that has English medium as a vehicle for instruction!

    They have a Sankaracharya also?

They are not military school either!

The ethos and training in a Sainik school is totally different and hardly conducive to religious pursuit.

Further, Sainik School are not elitist nor having people of the background of great family wealth or political patronage!

The issue is not which school gave what.

What is worth noting is that middle class boys, given the correct grooming, can also produce great figures.

Those who come from elitist school always have it easier.

Sanjay Gandhi and Rajiv Gandhi are no bright sparks, but because their grandfather was Nehru and their mother Indira Gandhi, they could slip into high position as a dynastic right!

They are from the first batch, which was a little better than a patshala.
