    The interesting piece of the article I find is the ability of Russians to design new types of Thermonuclear Weapons for Strategic ICBM and Tactical purpose without the need to proof test it considering all testing now has been stopped and since early 90's the russians have not resumend testing. These have in late 80's done a large amount of hydronuclear testing which over an above the 1000 plus test must have yealded huge amount of data to do design weapon

    These folks at RFYaTs-VNIIEF are really God in High Energy Physics and considering how complex it can be to design a TN weapons , these days even with all the advancement you cant calim to design a simple conventional bomb without proof testing it.
