In last attack, only 24 out of total 59 same cruise missiles reached its target while it was secured with S-200s and S-300s and still only 6 were able to hit assigned targets.. now US prepares with 600 Tomahawk Cruise Missiles to attack Russian Protected War-torn Country.

Apocalypse for Syria: the US prepared 600 "Tomahawks"

The Americans continue to prepare for aggression in Syria. According to military experts, more than 600 Tomahawk cruise missiles are ready to attack the SAR facilities. At the same time, airfields, air defense positions, staffs of military formations, as well as government facilities in Damascus can become targets.

It is possible that actions will be taken to liquidate the military-political leadership of the state and personally President Assad. Although, according to the experience of recent wars, no such attempt has not been successful, nevertheless, the US in each new conflict operates according to the same scenario.

Syrian air defense, of course, will take all measures to repel such a massive blow. Modern complexes Buk-M2E, Pantsir S1, modernized Pechora-2M are capable of knocking down part of the missiles. But the attacking "Tomahawks" are so numerous that they will crush the number in an elementary way. In addition, it is possible to attract strategic bombers such as the B-52 and the invisible B-2.

One hope is for the funds of Russian videoconferencing facilities located in Syria. But for them to work with so many real and very dangerous goals - the task is not trivial. It's one thing to beat the bastardly made drones of terrorists, another is to steal at a height of a couple of dozen meters of modern cruise missiles.

Since the 80's, with the previous operation in the Middle East, the calculations had to practice, mainly on the landfills. The acquisition of real combat experience is, of course, good, but there are very great risks of the conflict escalating into something more global.

In any case, the situation continues to heat up, and the outcome may come very soon.

SDF CONFIRMS REPORTS THAT US ESTABLISHES MILITARY BASE IN VICINITY OF SYRIA’S LARGEST OIL FIELD
________________
Commentary: The recent reports of an attack by mercenaries from a company called Wagner, which allegedly had hundreds of combatants from CIS (referred to as Russians by some news reports) was countered by the US/Coalition forces. The attack was to capture the oil rich regions in Deir Ezzor province which is under the control of the Kurds and there are suspected US forces stationed there.

The recent Russian ambivalence towards Turkish aggression in the Kurdish region in and around Afrin is probably Putin's way of getting back at the Kurds.

This is a great balancing act. Turkey is a greater threat than the Kurds, but Kurds and the US together are a greater threat than Turkey. It also help create a schism between Turkey and the US, and there is a remote chance of there being a schism between the Kurds and the US.

It is to be see how this plays out.

MAP UPDATE: MILITARY SITUATION IN AREA OF DOUMA IN EASTERN GHOUTA

This map provides a general look at the military situation in the area of Douma in the Eastern Ghotua ahead of the expected military situation by the Syrian Army. Douma is controlled by Jaish al-Islam. The group has recently claimed that it is not going to accept a reconciliation agreement with the Syrian government triggering a series of prepartions by government forces for a storm of the city.

after a long time some one replied here....

this is going to be tough one, as these idiots from Jaish al-Islam dont have allies in Idilib or Hama, so they might give everything they & die....

I think they are nurturing the faint hope that there will be another "chemical" attack and the US will launch yet another salvo of cruise missiles.

I think SAA and RuAF are taking a pause before the final push. If Jaish al-Islam chooses to take a last stand, they will fight like a cornered cat. In such a scenario, it is better to keep a lull. That will mentally strain them while giving enough time for SAA to regroup.

U.S. President Donald Trump said Thursday that Washington may pull out of its involvement in Syria "very soon," in comments that seem to have caught the U.S. State Department off guard.
Speaking at a rally, Trump said that "we're knocking the hell out of ISIS. We'll be coming out of Syria, like, very soon. Let the other people take care of it now.

"Very soon, very soon, we're coming out. We're going to have 100 percent of the caliphate, as they call it – sometimes referred to as land. We're taking it all back – quickly, quickly," he said.

Contradicting Trump, the U.S. State Department said it was unaware of any plans to withdraw U.S. troops from Syria.

A group of American soldiers died when a mine blew in the province of Aleppo !!!

A group of US military personnel was blown up on a makeshift explosive device in the Kurdish town of Manbij, in the province of Aleppo.
As a result of the explosion, two American soldiers were killed, and five others were injured of varying severity.
Recall that the concentration of US military increased in the area of the city of Manbij after Turkish statements about the preparation of an offensive on this Kurdish-controlled city.

Turkey says France could become "target" for backing Syria Kurds

ANKARA: Turkey said on Friday that a French pledge to help stabilise a region of northern Syria controlled by Kurdish-dominated forces amounted to support for terrorism and could make France a "target of Turkey".

French backing for the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), spearheaded by the Kurdish YPG militia, has angered Ankara at a time when it is fighting the YPG in northern Syria and considers it a terrorist organisation. President Tayyip Erdogan said France had taken a "completely wrong approach" on Syria, adding that he exchanged heated words with his French counterpart, Emmanuel Macron, last week.

Turkish Deputy Prime Minister Bekir Bozdag said the French stance was setting Paris on a collision course with Ankara. "Those who enter into cooperation and solidarity with terror groups against Turkey . . . will, like the terrorists, become a target of Turkey," Bozdag, who is also the Turkish government spokesman, wrote on Twitter. "We hope France does not take such an irrational step. "

Macron met an SDF delegation on Thursday and gave assurances of French support to stabilise northern Syria. A presidential source later said France could increase its military contribution alongside the SDF to fighting the Islamic State in Syria. France has some 500 troops there as part of the coalition. Ankara considers the YPG fighters in the SDF to be an extension of Kurdish militants who have waged a decades-old insurgency in southeast Turkey.

Turkey says France sending troops to Syria would be 'invasion'
By Afp

Turkey on Saturday warned France against increasing its military presence in Syria, saying it would be an "invasion", as tensions between Paris and Ankara remained high.

Temperatures were raised after French President Emmanuel Macron on Thursday met a delegation of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) made up of Kurdish and Arab fighters.

Kurdish officials said afterwards that France was planning to send new troops to Manbij -- a northern Syrian town held by the Kurdish YPG militia -- a claim Paris denied.

"If France takes any steps regarding its military presence in northern Syria, this would be an illegitimate step that would go against international law and in fact, it would be an invasion," Turkish Defence Minister Nurettin Canikli said.

There are still 1100 engaged in the Chammal op and most of the fighting has moved from Iraq to Syria.

It looks like we need to rap up Barkhane and move them to Syria.

I'm in N-Syria now.

Each conflicting statement out of Washington has profound effect on Kurds here.

US: We support SDF.
People relax.

Next day Trump: We leave Syria ASAP.
Ppl panic, pack bags.

US army: No, we stay.

For some it's only a game, for people here it's their life.

Nice map .But having 1100 personnel tasked for Chammal does not mean we have hundreds of them deployed in Syria.
Anyway Malbrunot knows zilch .

Latest I can get from Defence Ministry is this

https://www.defense.gouv.fr/english/content/download/323035/4417829/chammal.png
We do not list special forces on the map which is why no flag is on Syria. The SDF said there were 4000 Coalition troops in Syria, 2000 US and the rest made up of French, British and Germans. Even the US was playing coy with the numbers of troops involved.
