Russia says it may support UN motion on Syria - The Times of India
Assad maybe a loony dictator but he's better off than the Islamists that would make Syria another Hizbolla type hideout. That would mean more global trouble in the long run. As such north African belt is having Islamist governments coming up with hardline candidates that are already transforming these relatively liberal countries into more conservative ones.
There must be a third alternative to Assad and Mullahs. Russia should actually try propping someone up before it is too late.
