@rockey 71 , promoting the Rohingya cause here is well and good but why don't you do the same at Arab fora? I mean a nation as large and rich as SA can most certainly accommodate a million people. Rest can find their place in UAE, Qatar, Kuwait etc.

If you are so sympathetic to them, why don't you ask your govt. to open the border for them? After all, love for the fellow muslim should be deep enough that BD, Indonasia or Malaysia, all muslim nations, should not hinder their entry into their soil? Should they? AFAIK, BD has blocked their border, Indonasia and Malaysia both barred their entry.

Every rational people knows the true face of the uneducated Islamists. What they do whenever they are in majority and influenced by the incitors. Indonasian authority already have faced their own share of insurgencies by the islamists. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Terrorism_in_Indonesia They would not be enthused with influx of more possible footmen. Thailand dealt with them, and they have subsided for a time. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/South_Thailand_insurgency But Myanmar knows that as long as those parasites linger, they will cause harm to others. Myanmar people have been proactive rather than reactive.

It is always the responsibility of the rational people of a group to control the irrational members of the group, else when the whole group is punished for the misdeeds of some, you cannot blame others but yourselves. In India, the muslim populace has traditionally been led by more or less moderate muslim leader save for a few. Even, then we have faced too many incidents of islamic terrorism, although I have to admit that the no. of incidents by the homegrown terrorists are far less than what could have been. A good reason for that is that a good % of muslims in India do have comparatively better education which helps them to steer clear of terrorism incitors - though that is also being questioned given the growing wahabi influence here.

Myanmar's Aung San Suu Kyi Dodging or Driving the Rohingya Crisis?
Image: Aung San Suu Kyi's "saffron monk" supporters are also rabidly racist, bigoted, and violent. They have been the primary belligerents calling for and carrying out the systematic displacement and genocide of the Rohingya people. Suu Kyi isn't dodging the crisis, she is driving it.

June 20, 2015(Tony Cartalucci - NEO) - The Bangkok Post has recently featured an AFP report titled, "Suu Kyi dodges Rohingya issue again," which claims:
In rare comments on Myanmar's persecuted Rohingya Muslims, opposition leader Aung San Suu Kyi urged caution on granting citizenship to minorities, saying the sensitive issue must be addressed "very, very carefully."The report then added:
But in an interview published online late Tuesday, Suu Kyi dodged a direct question on whether the Rohingya - who have triggered international outcry as they flee the country on rickety boats in their thousands - should be given citizenship."The protection of rights of minorities is an issue which should be addressed very, very carefully and as quickly and effectively as possible, and I'm not sure the government is doing enough about it," she said."It is such a sensitive issue, and there are so many racial and religious groups, that whatever we do to one group may have an impact on other groups as well," she stressed."So this is an extremely complex situation, and not something that can be resolved overnight."
If it appears Suu Kyi is attempting to argue against granting the Rohingya people citizenship, most of whom have lived in Myanmar for generations, that is because she is. The Nobel Peace Prize laureate, darling of the Western press, and venerated saint of Western "democracy"is backed by the very sects persecuting, butchering, and driving the Rohingya people into the sea.
Indeed, the "saffron monks" that have regularly filled the streets on Suu Kyi's behalf, have also carried out a number of demonstrations over the years advocating segregation, exile, and even genocide against the Rohingya people. They have also carried out regular armed raids on Rohingya neighborhoods - and then after driving them from their homes and businesses - attacked them in squalid refugee camps.

When troops operating under the command of the Myanmar government attempt to defend the Rohingya, the Western press and a network of Myanmar and Southeast Asian-basedUS State Department-funded NGOsregularly decry armed exchanges with Suu Kyi's mobs as "violent crackdowns." In reality, Myanmar troops are the only thing standing between the Rohingya and wholesale genocide.

The UN has regularly called on Myanmar to grant citizenship to the Rohingya, a process the government has indeed already attempted to push through, however it has met with fierce, even violent resistance by Suu Kyi's "saffron" supporters.

As previously reported, the purpose of Suu Kyi's violent mobs preventing the Rohingya from being granted citizenship, is to give Suu Kyi herself an edge in upcoming elections. Knowing that the Rohingya would also be granted voting rights along with their citizenship, and vote for virtually any party but that which includes the violent mobs used to torment them for decades, denying the Rohingya their right to vote has ironically become a priority of the "pro-democracy" Suu Kyi and her followers who are determined to seize power.

The absolute depravity of yet another of the West's proxies should surprise no one, considering the West has also helped literal Al Qaeda affiliates violently overthrow the government of Libya in 2011, literal Nazis overthrow the elected government of Ukraine in 2013-2014's "Euromaidan" crisis, and is currentlyallowing convoys of 100 trucks a day or more flow into Islamic State territory from NATO's borders. That the West is also cultivating racist, bigoted, violent mobs for the purpose of skewing upcoming elections in Myanmar is simply par for the course.

The purpose of realigning Myanmar with Suu Kyi and her political party in control is a two-part strategy. It is the reassertion of Western dominance in a former Western colony (Myanmar being formally "Burma" under British control), and part of a wider regional agenda to align all of Southeast Asia against China in a proxy conflict that has played out for years and is reaching its climax via a series of island disputes in the South China Sea.

Success in destabilizing Myanmar politically, or the prospect of installing a client regime led by Western-creation Suu Kyi would help revitalize the West's agenda regionally, having suffered setbacks in Malaysia and Thailand with multiple proxies swept from power, incarcerated, or otherwise driven abroad. Exposing the true nature of Suu Kyi and her "saffron" mobs is essential for real change and progress in Myanmar and across the region, giving nefarious interests fewer noble causes to hide behind, and reclaiming concepts like representative governance, human rights, and freedom to truly serve the people, not foreign interests.

Tony Cartalucci, Bangkok-based geopolitical researcher and writer, especially for the online magazine“New Eastern Outlook”.

huh??? Fitters? Hasina is a puppet?

News to me. But then you belong to that jehadi camp of unwashed barbarians who wants to supplant the heritage of bengalis with the desert culture. To you anybody who isn't ready to cut off the head of kaffir is a puppet of some or other.

Btw, why are not you starting the movement to allow the rohingyas to your country. after all it is more easily accessible for them? Also they are supposed to be our brethren by religion? Or do majority of your people know what mess that would create for your country with the influx of illiterate unskilled people in thousands to local economy?

Given the history, no wonder the Buddhists of Myanmar do not want the parasites among them.

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rohingya_insurgency_in_Western_Burma

Those declare the formation of "Islamic Republic of Rahamland" in 2012 and then ask why they are persecuted? The Buddhists seem to be more pragmatic whether in Srilanka, Myanmar or Thailand. They don't shirk from taking extreme measure and gives a fuc* what others say to protect their own. If every other people decide to act that way, all the so called jihads that has been going on would have shrunk and stopped. But alas, so called wine-sipping civilised folk care to much for a group of people who murder in the name of religion than the people who get murdered, solely because the murderers are better at playing victim card!

It seems that these people have never reconciled to be part of Burma or Myanmar as it is called today, and have led an armed revolt since 1946.

Now they are at the receiving end so they seem to be playing the victim card. Lesser said about the shenanigans of organisations like Amnesty, they have lost all credibility.

Islam and Muslims belong with Saudi barabria , its original birth place. It has no place in the sub continent . so take your jihadi brethren and go the Saudi barbaria and leave us civilized folk alone. And I like it that you have indirectly acknowledged that the scum which were persecuted were all jihadi/former jihadis, typical of the barbaric religion

It has been under Burmese rule from 1748. It is good enough for me.

This has been a Buddhist country from the time of Lord Buddha himself who visited this are around 545 BC.

In 1869 the Muslim population of the region was 5% and most of the muslim settlers came During WWII. ( https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rohingya_people). so where do we get this independent Islamic state theory.

Remember Azad maidan riots in Mumbai, the guy who destroyed Shaheed Smarak and pissed on it was Rohingya. And a terror suspect was arrested from Hyderabad was a Rohingya and no news agency reported about this.
If Pakistan,Bangladesh,Saudis or Western countries are so much interested why not give them shelter and have some fun.
These guys don't even have shame, when someone gives shelters you should abide by the rules and cultural sensitivities of that country.

Its just a ploy to colonize areas of the world where Muslims numbers are 'lower than expected'. The so called refugees have "a higher calling and a duty towards spreading the tentacles of their Ummah". Political Islam always works in the same way, gain entry using the sympathy/victim card. There are innumerable examples in the West, muslim refugees like the Lebanese, Iraqi, Bosniaks, Albanians, Kyrgyzstani(s) have used the victim card to gain entry. Once in, they keep to their agenda and start breaking out slowly but surely. The usual stuff starts with these so called victims asking for perks like Halal food, Mosques, separate legal code et all. Baby steps in creating a divide between their benefactors and themselves. Once that's done they keep crying hoarse and keep asking for more till they get their way to positions of power like in Pommiestan(England). India needs to be wary.
