The other states I could understand, but such low figures in these states ?

This is a case of concern and I'm sure the numbers would further have reduced according to the 2011 census.

i know. These children will then grow into adults and their percentage is just an indicator how future demographics of India will look like.

And yeah Kerala is royally fcuked up.

SHURIDH , Kindly post the link.

If it's true, Then it's major problem as Muslim demographic is increasing very rapidly specially in Kerala, W.B., Assam. I didn't even thought that speed. That also in 2001. What will happen when 2011 census will come in few months ?

I've added 2 more columns. 1> % Muslim population (2001 census) 2> Difference between 0-6 years child & actual Muslim population % wise. 0-6 years data do indicate future demographics and growth. (I am assuming SHURIDH data is correct which he always claimed)

I've not considered states where population is 3 Million or less and state/UT where Muslim population is around 1%-4% only.

By above data, Muslim population is increasing by around 60%-80% vis-a-vis Hindus/Indian religion. 10-Yr Growth % of (est '91–'01) was 80% higher for Muslims vis-a-vis Indian religion population growth. Muslim population is increasing very rapidly in pre-planned way and rising 1% overall in every decade. 8% ==> 14% in 6 decades (1951-2011). (6% rise). Even recently, Court said "30 Million Bangladeshi also living in India illegally". . Most of them are Muslims.

    http://defenceforumindia.com/intern...n-bangladeshi-living-india-illegally-due.html

This is very serious issue. Change in demography will cause social and security problem in future.

Government should ban more than 1 Kid for Muslims in order to maintain status quo of 1947. Indian religion T.R.F. is already close to 2. In addition, GoI and various states should deport back all Bangladeshi Muslims.

Wishful thought ? May be and also won't be implemented in near future, But that is only solution and sooner or later, Government has to take such serious steps.

They do..... Everyone should have equal right to consume resources but Muslims have consumed 60%-70% more as % population.

But Muslim population grew 60%-70% more than Hindus and other religions. So, In order to maintain status quo of 1947-1951, Muslim population should decrease by 6%. If it will be 1 child policy for them, then in 6-7 decades, 47 status will come back and by then other religion T.F.R. will gradually come to 1.5-1.8. Hence, Demographic will be constant. Otherwise, it cause serious problem in future. High % of Muslims is not good for the country. History says the same.

Whats up with the 1947 status? Were we some sort of super advanced civilization with those demographics? It would be more appropriate if population control is uniform, screw the demographics, think survival.

What population control are you talking ?? Majority of Muslims don't believe in such things. They are doing deliberately under influence of Mullahs and Muslim brotherhood to increase the population. (Not all but majority of them or may be it's as per Islam to have more kids). I don't know nor i want to know. What i want is status quo and i have some valid reason for that.

Literacy rate in Kerala - 90%, Muslim literacy rate is 95%. Still, T.F.R. of Muslims are 60% higher than Hindus.

Already Hindu population is 56% and may be 52% (2011 census). As per above data, in next few decades, Muslims will be in majority in Kerala. If with 95% literacy rate, Demographic is changing so rapidly then what will change in rural areas of North India ??

Same story for W.B., Assam. I am saying as per data and not on my own.

Because the demographic of 1947 were the result of a well planned ethnic cleansing exercise undertaken by some fanatics on both sides of the border. Each wanted to consolidate power in their own hands by using the religion card and build an empire.

Now atleast in one side a lot of that is being undone , hence the heart burn being experienced by some.

Dude, demographics is not just about religion. It also has ethnic, linguistic dimensions.
The population of a few populous states in the north with high TFR has increased in proportion when compared to the south.

Worse, because of census based delimitation the political representation of the North has also increased in proportion to the south.

Why should the same rule not be applied in this context too and take the demographics back to the 1947 state?

There is a thread dedicated to the region wise uneven demographic change in India. For more info you can pay it a visit.

It doesn't matter what anybody thinks!!! Think rationally, in a few decades we are going to face massive food shortages, perhaps not in our life times. Nature would exercise its own population control and it won't be selective of religion.

I am all for one child policy but I find the idea of restricting it to a particular community absurd.

I don't really care if Hindus are in majority when I'm dying of hunger.

I agree... Demographic has various shades. But what most important is religion.

Hindu T.F.R. is around 2.2 in whole India. U.P. & Bihar have more and all other states have less as per average. But that is due to 30 years of Jungle raj by previous governments. Things have started improving in Bihar and so in U.P. Still, I don't have any problem whether the person is Tamil or Assamese. Country was divided on religious line and not on ethnic line.

But Muslim population increasing more than 50% higher than Non-Muslims since 1947. GoI should take some serious step to control otherwise it will create huge social and security problem.

Just tell me this, are you for or against the idea of single child policy for all, starting now?

Yes, we will be facing serious problem. GoI should take some concrete steps to control population before it's too late. 1.21 Bn and rising. :frusty:

I agree. I also don't have problem if ONE CHILD POLICY comes for all religion. I said for Muslims, because it's close to 3 and more....Hindus T.F.R. already decreased close 2 after few decades of population control measure.

Population control is must and we have to tackle 1st which rising very rapidly and not following population control measure.
