anyone here willing to help us to re-learn our lost command of the lanuguage?

i am gonna post a phrase a day and hope you will all comment on it and explain ....and i will not be lazy either , i'll do my part too ....how's that sound to you ? ......now let's see how it goes ok ?

(after all - all of us speaking ONE language - hindi , is part of defence for india , isnt it ? )

the book i am using is the only one i have - called "rough guides" - a travel guide "¦.. Those of you with dictionaries etc can contribute perhaps better ? - thanks in advance bhai- and behen-sahebs !

In everyday life we call them bade bobbe

But announcement on railway station is both in hindi and english.
So people should focus on learning local hindi instead of pure hindi which most of the people don't understand.

Actually my mother came in without knocking(as you know indian parents they don't kncok) and it was kind of embarrassing

true ....... but i was hoping that with so many members here and hindi being a way to unite ourselves - that there might be better and more enthusiastic responses on this forum ?
