The Chinese have good reasons to hate Japan.

Japan really made Chinese to feel that they are there to 'comfort' them!

    They really screwed China.

The country and the people in general. It would be wrong to support the Japanese in this event because than say people will like the Nazi's too for what they did.

and in full disclosure if you'd ask me between China and Japan who I prefer then its the Japanese and its sole reason is the CPC.

What terrible destruction and mayhem! Unlike the Western theater, the Eastern theater of WWII doesn't get so much attention and thus, while I was vaguely aware of Japanese atrocities in East Asia, the videos and images of those events present the entire sordid story in its full and graphic detail. The Japanese got away too lightly for their crimes, and the Emperor Hirohito went completely scot free!

Did you see the documentary? The Japanese aim was to conquer all of Asia and eventually all of the world committing the same atrocities they inflicted on the Chinese.

Although what view we hold is unfortunately related to what events affected us more-the Chinese have emotional scars left over by the humiliation at the hands of the Japanese. Indians were thankfully spared from that and hence cannot relate to terrors that were committed by people in far away lands. However Indians still remember the 1962 defeat at the hands of China and the subsequent Chinese collusion with Pakistan.

All a matter of one's historical circumstance and perspective.

Just like the several Nazis who escaped punishment, the Japs who escaped punishment (most of them), had something of value that they could give to the US.
For eg. the Nazis who escaped, mostly provided advice to the Americans on rocket technology and code breaking. Nazis had broken several Soviet military codes and the Americans could also understand which of their own encryption technologies had weaknesses and thus were worthless.
The Japs provided information on biological warfare as they had conducted some hideous experiments on people (mostly Chinese, Koreans and Russians). As for Hirohito, you can thank MacArthur for that. He thought (probably correctly) that the Japs need the Emperor to keep Japan together and ensure stability.

All the top ranking (and middle and lower-ranking) leaders of the Nazis down to minor officials and camp guards were executed by the thousands after sham trials by the Allies. Hitler, Himmler, Goering and Goebbels committed suicide and Germany was in ruins at the end of the war due to Hitler's refusal to surrender. Germany was occupied for 4 years by the Allies and the Russians after the war in which they had their own interrogation camps. In these camps, military intelligence officials from these countries treated prisoners without any regard for law or human rights. The Russians committed thousands of rapes in the territory they occupied. At least the victims of German crimes can say they were avenged for their suffering.

If you compare that to Japan, the IMT convicted only 28 major Japanese officials of the most serious crimes. The scale of the punishment doled out to the two countries is just incomparable.

The emperor had nothing to do with any kind of military activities, He was a tool and played by Togo ..

Unfortunately Japan`s deed back in date have come to haunt them in there own region ..

They have committed a 1000% more inhuman crimes in Korea than China ..

Unit 731 - A Half Century of Denial

Some of the most gruesome atrocities of World War II - medical experiments on Chinese, Russian and American prisoners - were committed in China by Japan's infamous Unit 731.

True , ironically Wernher Con Braun, the architect of the terrifying V-2 missile that wreaked havoc on London, went on to work for USA in designing their Saturn-V rocket for the Apollo series...

the ""last" Korean queen Myeongseong was killed and burnt by Japanese "ronin" in the palace. there was a very popular Korean sitcom on the queen. she was a resolute and tough politician in attempts to join hands with Qing and Russia later to resist imminent Japanese annexation while her husband (suspected of being poisoned by Japanese after "dethroning") was known as timid.
