Ram Mandir or other Hindu Temples Debate Mohan Bhagwat spoke about Ram Mandir issue while made usual people take notice. Mohan Bhagwat said that he hopes to see Ram Mandir built in his lifetime. Speaking at an event to pay respect to people who were killed doing Puja inside the temple ‘Kar Sevaks’ in 1990 in Ayodhya Mohan Bhagwat said The temple will be built within my lifetime…May be, we will see it with our own eyes. None can say when and how the temple will be constructed, but we need to be prepared and ready. Ram Mandir has been an important issue with the RSS (Rashtra Swayamsewak Sangh) for almost three decades now. The Allahabad High Court divided the issue into three parts and said to maintain status Quo till the matter is disputed. In 2010 Ram Mandir issue again came into limelight and as high court of Allahabad said an out of court settlement is possible but five years have passed and nothing has happened with the Ram Mandir issue. Another important question that arises now is that since the Ram Mandir issue is stuck what about the 1000’s of Hindu temples some of them richest in the world stuck in the hands of governments. What is the secular government of a country doing with control of so many hindu temples and shrines? It is high time Sangh debated this issue with greater voice like it does with religious conversions. Most of the governments in the country eye the rich temples and its real estate wealth. Its high time to bring up these matters in public domain and fight for that. Jaganath Temple : Bhagwan Jaganath temple in the state of Odisha is always in the news regarding this issue. The temple priests , people associated with the temple want that government should leave its total control. Even the richest temple of Tirupati is controlled by the government. Its high time Sangh starts focussing on this issue .
