News coming in, Rahul Gandhi is going to lead Congress Lok Sabha elections campaign in 2014. Does this mean he has been indirectly been made PM candidate?

Whatever the case, it's time for the nation to rejoice and the best Diwali gift by Sonia Gandhi to the nation. With Rahul in charge, Confress is certain to LOSE!

    He lacks personality,

    he lacks aggression of youth,

he lacks cunningness essential for any politician,

he lacks active connection with industry,

his party workers rarely see him,

he still thinks India is in '80s,

even MMS is politically well connected than him,

However, uske paas Maa hai ! ;)

(he has his mother who is one hell of a genius political leader ! )

And worst of all, he has no good economic agenda.

No, scratch that - he has no economic agenda to speak of!

    Indeed !

We don't know what is his economic agenda ?

Shiny slogans with announcement of aam aadmi schemes are not forward looking ! At least we knew that MMS is determined to liberalize economy & bring reforms. That is one of the reasons why people re-elected MMS for second term. But where does Rahul stands on such issues ?

Hell, he couldn't even come out in loud support for Food Security. He never takes any deal-breaking position. Once in while he reads some scripts like he did during Lokpal discussions to make lokpal constitutional body.

We don't know his position on Kashmir, Pakistan ?

I find Ram Jethmalani too noisy.

However, I agree that Rahul G is a disaster.

Good news. Despite all his weaknesses, if Rahul stays active in Congress, they will return to power in 2014. Congress is the default governing party of India.

They will only be unseated if a Gandhi is not in charge or a previous Congress policy turned out to be disastrous.

Don't forget, even Indira Gandhi was subject to ridicule and called a "goongi gudiya". We all know how that turned out.

Do you think this "Budhha Amul Bhaby" will do the charms to India. Seriously India needs a Leader and NOT a Corporate to RUN a Country. India has suffered a lot of "Dynastic Politics". Personally am NOT against Congress but Am against Dynastic Politics and especially of Gandhis.NO Rahul Gandhi Please. He is the B.S. guy.I have listened to him and his knowledge seems to be pretty disgusting for the post PM.

My understanding was that he referred to size anyway even if he meant population I really cannot discern this man, even though MMS is not a leader he's an intelligent man now compare to this fellow he has no intellect, charisma.

There is a six member committee formed to assist Mr.Rahul Gandhi to lead the campaign. The election coordination panel has Ahmed Patel, Janardan Dwivedi, Digvijaya Singh, Madhusudan Mistry and Jairam Ramesh as members.

The best part is that this elite panel formed to assist the Prince Charming in the forthcoming General elections, none of them today are capable of winning their own Lok Sabha Seat.

Rahul is the only person who will have the support of vast majority of Indians, just because of the Gandhi name.

Of course, as a leader, I'd prefer Chidambaram to be PM over any Congressman, but we all know that's not likely to happen.

The choices are: A fragmented Modi led government with little support outside its right wing Hindutva base OR a strong Congress led government under RG. For stability, prosperity and long term security of the country, I prefer RG.

I will say India will have NO strong CONGRESS Govt. for the 5 years ahead and more so with R.G the Star-Baba. I think Coalition politics will prevail. It takes a little to understand the psyche of communal - if you say so - Hindus.India will remain weak because people are divided.

If a Modi led government is formed , it means that the wider public has cast its lot with the Hindutva base.

Yeah, and that is going to be extremely unlikely. More likely, a possible BJP govt will likely cobble together a bigger coalition than the UPA, but this coalition will be inherently shaky because of no strong central authority around which the party can rally. Jaitley, Swaraj, Gadkari and possibly Modi will all be involved in power politics and any crisis situation will immediately bring the differences to the fore.

With a RG led government, there's no chance of that happening. Hence as I said, better for stability, security and prosperity.

    The title should read
Rahul Gandhi to lead Congress to oblivion in 2014
