In february 2010 a bleeding girl was found unconsious outside a farmhouse in a jungle somewhere .
This is a movie based on what she claims is a real-life story.....
So what is her story ??
She ( called Ragini in the film ) had planned a one-night-stand in the farmhouse with her boyfriend . But the boyfriend was an asshole who had planted hidden cameras in the house to make sex-tapes for the people he worked for .
But unknown to them , the spirit of a woman who had killed herself there also resided in the house......
And obviously , the spirit had other plans for them.....
The first part of the film is almost semi-porno with graphic shots of the couple in compromising positions , though wearing some clothes. The actress playing Ragini is sexy and does give you the hots .
But then the horror begins.....
This is easily the best horror movie I have seen in a long time , and boy ,I have seen many of them......
Some of the shocks and jolts give you spine-chilling terror , and the acting , and especially the screams seem terribly real.
And the ghost is unrelenting.......
It does not choose between the criminal and the innocent , and terrorises both in equal measure.......
The criminal being the boyfriend , but of course.....
And the innocent being the girl ?? Yeah , but it also means the audience !!
If their is any fatal flaw in the ghosts power , its the fact that its power subsides in the morning......
Thus allowing Ragini a means of escape.....
But for me , there is no escape yet......It's still night in Mumbai !!
