Congress or BJP are nowhere near achieving complete majority in next Loksabha.

They will be relying heavily on support of allies and coalition partners to form government.

With major vote bank concentrations like UP, Bihar, TN etc held by regional parties, they will pocket marginal bargaining power & can make or break the situation.

Race is heating up to become Kingmaker and not the King i.e PM.

So whom do you think will become the Kingmaker?

BJP is in a situation today in every state where they have allies to wreck those governments. IMO, BJP shud go it alone in 2014 with only one mantra,"NAMO NAMAH:

Going alone? I don't think that wise thing to do especially when they have nothing left in South India.

I have said this before, you can not reach 7 RCR if you bypass South and UP.

King makers are those who cannot be kings themselves.

Becoming King maker is one thing but holding onto it is the more difficult part , but all 5 lack qualities for becoming a true kingmaker

The notable amongst those with aspirations of becoming a kingmaker in 2014 are

    1. Nitish Kumar
    2. JJ
    3. Mamata Di
    4.M.S.Yadav
    5. Sharad Pawar

I have a gut feeling that in the coming elections all of the above are going to be faring very poorly. Bihar is going to be a shocker. Lalu Prasad is fast regaining popularity. In the last survey he polled almost 30% votes compared to 45% odd votes for the CM. What makes this figure more interesting is that in a similar survey done before the assembley elections in Bihar he had just managed to scrape into double figures. All is not well for the JD(U)- BJP combine in Bihar.

If DMK goes with Congress then ADMK would win big and JJ will be in a good position for Kingmaker, but if DMK abandons Congress and goes with Commies or alone then they may not do too bad then neither Jaya nor Karuna would become Kingmakers.

SP and Mamta can't be kingmakers as they have no choice but to support either Congress or sit it the opposition, since they won't support BJP at any cost. That leaves only BSP in an ideal position to play kingmaker.

So far no one voted for Mayawati. You think Behenji can not re-claim Uttar Pradesh? :D

She has asked voters to make sure that she delivers speech from Red Fort.

Sometimes I think that maybe Congress will dump SP and align with BSP because Raajmata don't want to be seen as anti-dalit force.

defintely Jayalalitha for her strong support and reasonable ability to recognise her people,
which can be seen from her diplomatic/humanitarian/ social order/ and her ability to recognise the harm to the community by banning the Viswaroop.
Her ability to seek for the welfare of the tamil people shows a strong support from her community

Karunandhi is liked by the people for the love over tamil language and literary capabilities , not for his welfare over the people.

the irony is that they two are the most corrupt and crooked politicians,
    congress is eternally doomed !!!

Though not exactly on-topic, but since this being an "election" thread, posting it here.

The summoning of corporate honchos (telecom bosses) by court may very well be congress's ploy to send out a warning to corporate folks so as not to ditch them in favour of bjp in coming elections.
