yes, i am talking about lie detection test. any one who is running in election, be it a MLA or MP or local Representative, they all should pass polygraph test in order to qualify for election.

Polygraph test is also known as "lie detection test". A polygraph (popularly referred to as a lie detector) measures and records several physiological indices such as blood pressure, pulse, respiration, and skin conductivity while the subject is asked and answers a series of questions. The belief is that deceptive answers will produce physiological responses that can be differentiated from those associated with non-deceptive answers.

The polygraph was invented in 1921 by John Augustus Larson, a medical student at the University of California at Berkeley and a police officer of the Berkeley Police Department in Berkeley, California. According to Encyclopædia Britannica, the polygraph was on its 2003 list of greatest inventions, described by the company as inventions that "have had profound effects on human life for better or worse."

Many members of the scientific community consider polygraphy to be pseudoscience. Nonetheless, in some countries polygraphs are used as an interrogation tool with criminal suspects or candidates for sensitive public or private sector employment. US federal government agencies such as the FBI and the CIA and many police departments such as the LAPD use polygraph examinations to interrogate suspects and screen new employees. Within the US federal government, a polygraph examination is also referred to as a psychophysiological detection of deception (PDD) examination.

my point here is all politician should be fired a salvo of questions during test related to corruption, personal properties, family business, criminal and illegible activities etc. if the politician is lying then it will be caught in Polygraph machine because of responses produced by his body. so if a politician fails on repeated polygraph test then he should be kicked from the election.

    how polygraph test work.

Although polygraph test are not false proof but it is better then having nothing. your thoughts and comments are welcomed.

Polygraph test can also put a good person in the dock just because he is nervous.

an undertaking to the effect that in case selected candidate (his family or relatives) is found to have crated illegal income/property at the expense of people, then the income shall be declared national income and shall be confiscated and personal income and property shall be attached.

If they want to serve the Public and they should also prepare to take the heat in case they started serving themselves.

OK my bad, I get it.

Even the idea of Polygraph to qualify is unfair. One does not need to be nervous or scared inorder to fail Poly test.
If an uncomfortable question is asked, even then the person's body can produce some responses that might result in a fail.

They may not be scary but genuinely uncomfortable to answer, like personal life.
Btw therefore it can also be misused.

And as for fattus failing the test, some questions can even turn a strong willed, tough guy into a fattu for a moment.

Say same lie thousand times then our brain accepts it as truth.

honest person who gets nervous will fail while seasoned thieves who lie on daily basis will sneak through.

People should decide that, not a polygraph.
