The speech was spontaneous and without script as was mentioned and he did not have the bulletproof screen.

One of the most riveting speech ever given by a PM from the ramparts of the Red Fort.

It had hope, plea, initiative, innovation, pruning, consensus building, touch of greatness & immortality factored into it.

A brave & positive attempt by a man who has become the rallying point for a resurgent India.

    Saw the speech.

I stopped watching the PM Red Fort speech after MMS came. MMS just insulted his stature as PM. :tsk: :dude:

MODI is a good orator and knows what he has to say and what his visions and plans are.A very inspiring and motivating speech which justifies his stature. :yey: :salute: :india: :namaste:

    Food for thought:

A prime minister gives the most significant 15th August speech in decades and this is what the shameless media has to say -

After 2 years of aggressive campaigning and 3 months in New Delhi -- Prime Minister Narendra Modi made his Red Fort debut on Friday (August 15). The expectations were high and his decision to go extempore and without bullet cover, were a huge statement of intent. But it was Modi's announcement of a 10 year moratorium on caste and communal violence that have raised questions. Is it a step in the right direction? Will it silence his critics or have them go gunning for him again?

the shunning of bullet proof screen was a good statement, i mean how many more years will we have to celebrate our own independence under the threat of Islamic terrorists ?. the speech was great too.

    if this was,
madamji - she speaks from written speech and if given movie script instead of speech paper wouldn't know the difference or what she is speaking

    if this was,
manmohanji - he would have done the same thing (reading movie script instead of speech) thinking that it is madamji approved speech

    if this was,
raul vinci - same thing because he is too dumb to know anything.:laugh::lol:
