Is the PM being fair to our illustrious defence scientists?

Or has he correctly analysed the writing on the wall?

Or is he right in stating -where we were quite satisfied partly researching and partly manufacturing ourselves and substantially relying on equipment from outside. I think that equation is slowly changing; but this slow pace needs to be expedited … (but it cannot be) an expedition itself”?

Is it worrisome that 30 years or more have been spent on “Tejas”, the light combat aircraft, a nuclear submarine and combat helicopters?

Or is it par for the course to take that much of time?

Shouldn't the slow pace be expedited and not be an expedition itself?

The DRDO is lackadaisical as is most of the Government Institutions. Mr Modi, once again, has hit the right vein.
