GoSL denied the basic rights, freedom for many decades to SL Tamil. Sinhalese treated Tamil as 2nd class citizen. They lacked basic facility to live normal life. They were not from Mars but were SL citizen. After decades of discrimination & oppression, They started asking for equality and what they got genocide.

I am not talking of LTTE. They were not even 1% of Tamil population. I don't have any mercy for likes of Prabhakaran but 20,000 or even much more poor & innocent Tamils who were killed just because they were Tamils.

Asking for equality by terror??? Terrorism is the way to negotiate??? Did Gandhi followed that path??? They were lucky that SL wasn't an Islamic country!

Well this clearly is Kashmiri poice and the video looks like Kashmiri police and possibly CRPF paramilitary troopers were involved in the scuffle.

It could be that the Kids being arrested had thrown stones on a passing convoy or on a CRPF bunker in the area. But in any case, the police and CRPF could have acted more professionally. They can arrest the youths involved but they should be mindful that they don't have the right to beat up people they are arresting.

But to be honest, is this any worse on how other developing country police behaves? There are cases of police HR violations all over India. In Pakistan the situation is even worse. And Pak military itself has been captured in youtube videos torturing and murdering Pashtoons in Pakistan. So the discussion should be in an overall perspective.

If Kashmiris want to agitate for accountable police and preventing of HR violations, the whole India will support them and infact it is the need of the hour all over India.

Has there been any accountability of those Pak army officers who killed Pashtoons in Swat? Or the paramilitary troopers who were caught on camera of shooting to death a person in Karachi?
