the origin thread ,but was locked last night
    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

interesting topic, But there are some unprecise information there:
so I would like to creat my version of PLA Army weapons list in the similar structure....

    1. all weapons listed are active in PLA Army service right now(red fonts)
but I would like to put some those under development(green fonts)
some types for export only which were mistakenly recognized as PLA army active equipment (Blue fonts)

    2. pictures mainly, but I would give out the Type Name. you may google with it if you are interested in the specs. sorry about that.

    3. since it's surposed to be in mountain terrain, it seems we are Restricted...LOL..ok, I would keep the weight in mind...

    ------------------------
I would like to complete my unfinished Part A last night...and then, moving to the Light Armor Secetion as Mr.Kunal Biswas requested.

    ----------------------------------
MECHANIZED INFANTRY Equipments: When confilct occurs and after the arriving of the First Wave reinforcement consists of Fast Reaction Unit and Light MECHANIZED INFANTRY and Motorized Infantry Brigades/Divisions. PLA Army would send their Heavy Units as Reserves in case any unfavourable situation , although most of battles would go on in the Mountains or Jungles terrain. IA already has some Armour and Mechanized INFANTRY Div.s deployed in this Area or near around, and a STRIKE Corp may be raised in near future...They might meet each other if there was some war....following Equipments are Standard Light Armour sets of PLA Army HEAVY MECHANIZED INFANTRY Div.s and ARMOUR Div.s

The 1st and 2ed Generation of Tracked IFVs both are active and will be in service for long time because the Limited budget and Large Amount...but the production of 1st Gen. IFV ended.

    PART C
    MAIN BATTLE TANK

I have full agreement with Kunal Biswas's state about the MBT in the origal thread #5. post

the 40-tone ZTZ-96 and ZTZ-96A tanks are most used in this Military Region. although the heavier and more advanced ZTZ-99 serials are the favourite of PLA army nowadays.

I like the pictures of the new kit, but let it be known that only a few experimental units in PLA actually have it.

QJY 88 is not operational, The pic is old not even the uniform was updated, Other rifles are not included coz its not standered issue to the majority of PLA..

You have to post what Mountain Infantry carries aka light infantry foot soldiers..

HMG are not included coz it cannot be carried for assaults..

DZJ08 80mm single shot rocket launcher, has garnered a good reputation among Chinese troops who have been able to use it. In development for eight years, it reached the troops in 2008. It has a 300 meter range, a 1.65 kg (3.63 pounds) warhead and the entire weapon weighs 7.5 kg (16.5 pounds). Compare to PF-89 of 200m range also, So DZJOB is considered better RL for such terrain, 50mm motar is good find and need more Info on DFR-89 range..

Other RL are over weight and only for static placements..

SVD are largely equipped in Chinese para military not PLA, Post a new pic with solider with SVD i will add..
Shot guns are issued to special units not regular mountain forces, It can be issued on special occasions other wise its not counted..

Anti-material rifle is operational ? if so the regular units have it ?, I have seen many but issued to airborne units, how much it weight.. ..

Most of them are not operational but still experimental..
Only few variants like APC, and 122mm are in small numbers in ST, These pics tells more abt the current situation, I will add the 6x6 but will remove and place 8X8 in other thread as its still in small number and not operational in large scale..

I will add this APC, Its in large number and good mobility but eventually replaced by Snow Leos, Until i receive the use of Snow Leo in mass fire exercise i will put a hold on it..

Tracks are put of question coz they are heavy and big for the terrain..
